Virgin Hotels San Francisco represents at best the Virgin Group spirit, style and way of getting things right and better. The attention to details is just awesome, very quiet and super comfortable. Definitely a high level of cured aesthetics and functionality in a small room. The new open roof-top bar is awesome, with amazing views of the south and downtown parts of the city. Staff very kind and friendly, in perfect Virgin’s traditions. Best and most comfortable hotel I’ve ever stayed in my many trips to downtown San Francisco!

Excellent hotel, super clean and modern, great amenities, su[er friendly front desk staff. Only thing is I would recommend providing more water bottles in the room as the sink water was not potable.

Virgin Hotel was new and therefore clean. However the rooms were very basic and nothing special- you could have been in any hotel in any city and you would not have known. It was devoid of color and artwork. The rooms were white, black and grey. The bed with a totally unnecessary large bed frame took up 95% of the room. Bed was soft but I’m sure comfortable for most. Thing was housekeeping was not great: I stayed 5 nights in two different rooms. Both rooms were never service totally proper- each time missing something like fresh towels, restocking the mini bar, old soap from someone else left behind, no coffee, etc. A hotel of this caliber should have room service. They tell you to order Uber eats and that is a hassle that takes awhile. Restaurant downstairs is just ok not great by any means. Overall property lacked personality and those small touches that really make a property great. For $350+ a night skip it. The area it is located in also isn’t the best.
