The hotel is still undergoing renovations, although out of sight. The spa is not finished. When asking about spa or massage, we were referred to a sister Hotel for a price rather than a mire local service. Our room had no external window to the street, but instead a door to a private courtyard (6x8). Sounds wonderful, but felt like a fire trap. The door (old) to the courtyard was rattling and annoying, but could be easily fixed. Although one elevator was not working, the hotel had two, do it was not a problem. When the hotel finished its renos, it will be very nice with the spa included. Carpeted walls in the hallway did a great job of cutting down noise, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Great stay
Nice hotel, clean, helpful friendly staff, great location, good selection of hot/cold/coffee /juice at breakfast. Made us espresso/cappachinos etc. Reguested gluten free items when booking and they had a whole plate of treats/bread ready each morning.

Great Hotel!
Hotel was very clean and was in the heart of Rome. Staff was very nice and the breakfast buffet was very good.

Very noisy very dark and no room to put anything!
Sometimes design ignores comfort and amenities and this is one of those times!no real lighting no room for toiletries in the bathroom and a shower in the entry hall with no privacy and no place to hang a towel!

Average 4 star hotel- didn’t feel welcomed.
The check-in experience was not great. The lady on the desk wasn’t very pleasant, it felt like a fake welcome from the beginning. We were surprised and disappointed to find that our room had a separate bathroom but the shower was part of the room rather than the bathroom, hence not private. Avoid room 209 for this reason, also very noisy as next to the main road. We discovered that the hotel does not provide an iron or ironing board at all, forcing you to use their expensive laundry service. I was rudely told that 4 star hotels do not provide irons or ironing boards across the world, maybe that’s my lack of knowledge but in my experience I have never stayed anywhere that doesn’t provide this. One shirt had to be re-cleaned and ironed as they originally didnt iron it properly and left marks on it. To be fair to the manager we were offered another room as we were not happy and I thank him for that. The Spa was average, don’t expect a lot from this especially considering the high price to pay for three hours entry even as a hotel guest. You must also purchase a swimming cap for use of the jacuzzi, this was mildly warm and not hot as it should be. We didn’t try the restraint or the bar as we didn’t want to give the hotel anymore of our money. We felt like everything was highly overpriced. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were nicely designed, although mattresses uncomfortable. With a few changes I am sure the hotel could be quite good.
