Beware of fine print charges upon checkout.
Hotel was good, fine print charges not so good. Would recommend putting full price of hotel stay upfront instead of charge upon check out. ($25 amenity fee) First time using Hotel.com being asked to pay more at checkout excluding parking.

Great location and hotel in heart of Seattle
Simple, minimal and clean rooms. We enjoyed our stay at the Civic Hotel- a boutique hotel that is great value for money and great location too. Lots of things are walking distance and not a far drive to main spots like downtown and Pike Place Market and the museums. I would liked to have had another lounge type chair in the room for relaxing or reading because there’s plenty of space for one. Other than that we were very happy with our stay!

Lacking
While the hotel itself was nice, the service was lacking. At any point in the day, there was no one tending to the front desk. They charge an amenity fee, yet there are no amenities, not even a hair dryer at least in the room, nor an ironing board. Also, the coffee machine was broken in addition to there not being any coffee in the room. found it a little unreasonable to be charging that fee when there were no amenities to be found.

Be aware of 25 USD amenity tax you can't opt out.
The hotel in general was clean and quiet. The only very annoying thing was the 25 USD amenity fee that was mandatory and not obvious when I booked my room on hotels.com.

The hotel itself was great, parking is a nightmare and they don’t have much of it. They are surrounded by construction so if you’re wanting to sleep past 7am, this will not happen. This hotel is the first to have pillows that are slightly firm which was a godsend. Bathroom was small but very nice. I stayed in a double queen, it will not hold more than 2 people comfortably. I love that they currently give out water bottles as a complimentary service and have fill stations in the hallways. The downside to this hotel was no kitchen or restaurant but the desk staff said it would be coming within the next 6-12 months. My worst experience was housekeeping. I arrived Monday, ordered a pizza and left the box on top of the trash. Tuesday Housekeeping came in, made the bed replaced towels, changed the trash bag and left the box. Wednesday I folded the box and placed it inside the can instead of on top giving them the benefit of the doubt and thinking I did something wrong. That evening, again the bed was made, towels replaced and trash not taken. I asked the front desk if I was supposed to be taking my trash somewhere because I noticed mine hadn’t been taken since I arrived. The young lady said no, if it’s full it should be taken everyday. That night I ate in my room again and left the take out boxes in the can but this time I took the box to a different trash not in my room. Thursday they made the bed and changed the towe
