We were treated like family
We have just had the most beautiful holiday in Vietnam with my mother and our two young boys. It saddens me to read any bad reviews on the Citadines because they treated us like we were their family.
Ok so first thing out the way- yes the place is very quiet, not much going on and lots of empty shop units. It’s facing an abandoned hotel project and I guess it can seem a bit bleak.
But I can’t focus on that when the hospitality at this hotel was so superb. James the manager came down to meet us on check in because we were staying for an unusually long time, and he upgraded us from the 3 bedroom apartment we booked to a 5 bedroom 4 bathroom villa with a private pool. As part of the free upgrade he also gave us free spa vouchers to use every single day for the duration of our stay and we also had free laundry every single day- washed dried and pressed bought to our door. All for free. We used the pools (including the big main one) every single day and walked regularly along the huge expanse of beach to eat at local restaurants which had vegan places too.
I think most people only stay in Hoi An a few days. What a shame to do that! There is so much to do around the area you should stay for at least a week to enjoy everything there is to see and do. If you’re a family and don’t want to stay in the busy centre of Hoi An which gets a bit much then this has to be worth a try for you- we felt so welcomed and James we can’t thank you enough for everything you did for us xx
