Don't waste your $500 a night!

My family of 5 has been going to this resort for YEARS. I am a 50 year native of Arizona. This resort used to be the hot spot. This weekend it was not good. Very dirty, no tubes in the Lazy River and if you ask for them they say "I don't know if we have any". People we standing in line for 15 to 20 minutes waiting to get in and then the man watching over the lazy river said. You can just walk it if you would like. At 1:30 am my daughter called for a blanket and the man that came to the door with a "sheet" told her that we have a balance of $xx dollars that needs to be paid immediately. My daughter is 20 and on vacation with the family. She is not paying for the room. Especially at 1:30 in the morning. Then in the morning we went down to the front desk to see what the charges were because we only had 5 smoothies, one bloody mary and one beer. They had overcharged $30. The man that was working the front desk (Greg A) was NASTY. He was not only nasty to me but also to the gentleman that was after us who was trying to understand why he was overcharged $80. Greg A said in quotes "we need the money now". I said to him that we were going upstairs to get it and he said that "we will no longer be able to get in". My husband said "our kids are in there, you cant do that". He said "I'm done with you and walked away". This place must be paying minimum wage for their staff and no training at all. I have been treated better at the DMV then at this Hilton Resort. Alison the mgr did nothing!

Outdated

This hotel has very friendly and welcoming staff however it’s pretty outdated. The flooring in the room on ground floor was very hard and uneven in many places. This hotel has great potential it truly just needs some love and a facelift. The water park is awesome but also outdated.

We were very pleased with our stay. The rooms are a little dated but still very comfortable and clean. The waterpark area is very nice. It is smaller than we expected but that did not take away from the wonderful environment! We would stay here again. The drinks from the bar poolside were amazing.

Its okay

Not to the standard of most Hiltons I have stayed at but the price should have been the first clue. Room was run down with carpet pulling up and smelled like dirty cleaning solution when you entered. We ended up checking out early.

Disappointed and not worth the price

Property was not in the condition pictured with the booking. Staff was friendly and service was good but the room was not in great condition (dingy carpet, rust stained tub, dingy bedding, no microwave) and tiled stairs leading to the pool were all cracked and broken with pieces missing. Property needs to be updated and repaired so it's in better condition, especially considering the price for our room.

Locals-girls night/staycation

The hotel is older but we paid more to stay in the newer rooms. Rooms are all suites so it’s like a one bedroom apartment which is really nice. Water park had a nice little lazy river but had a limited number of very old tubes available so kids were splashing around and swimming in it instead of floating. Food and service by the pool was sub par…chicken Caesar salad was wilted, chicken was dry therefore way over priced at $25. Chips and guacamole was $16, guacamole came in a 3oz clear plastic cup with a lid and 2- 2oz cups of salsa. There were brown streaks all throughout the guacamole like it like it had been sitting out for hours. When we asked for a fresher one the staff at the food counter where you order scoffed and rolled their eyes at each other. Non-alcoholic Frozen Pina colada ($14) didn’t have enough flavoring but I didn’t want to ask for more flavoring after they rolled their eyes when I asked for fresh guacamole. Hot tub by our room was cold so we had to walk to the front pool/hottub (it was very warm and nice) We had to call for towels because they were all gone. It was late at night though, about a hour before the pool closed. The hotel is nestled on the mountain which is beautiful. This hotel has so much potential…it used to be amazing! It needs some renovations which they said will be starting soon. They would also benefit from higher quality food, better presentation of the food and more customer oriented staff at the water park area.

Everything was what we expected. Only issue we had was getting ahold of front desk from room phone. Other than that we had an amazing experience.

Old but pretty property. Couch bed was ridiculously uncomfortable with a pull out trundle and small, thin and dirty mattress pad. Not an acceptable sleeping solution, especially for the cost! When I raised my concern, I was told by the front desk she agreed it is unacceptable and to visit them again after the remodel. No thanks!

Would not go back.

For the price of the room, I would have expected better quality furnishings. The sofa bed was beat up and old and had lost its cushioning. The vanity area above the sink, where the ventilation resides, includes black mold around the side. The pool area is pretty but definitely smaller than what you see online. The pool drinks were $15+. The construction was going on night and day. Just a rather unpleasant experience.

There is better out there, but it was OK

The photos look way better than the actual property. The property is large, faded, and from a different 70's/80's era with a hoakie western theme. The rooms were dark, but clean. The resort/pool area was nice and well-run, enjoyed the convenience store on property, but way overpriced.
