First of all, Hotels.com did not charge our card. Not sure if its the fault of this Hotel or Hotels.com, but had to repurchase our rooms in the lobby area and somehow made it more expensive, go figure that. After finalizing our bookings, we attempted to make our way to our room only to find the elevator wonât take us to our floor, floor 6. When pushing the button there was no indication that it registered it: no light, the doors wouldnât shut, no sound, nothing at all. We made several attempts to get it to work, and at that point we went to the 5th floor and took the stairs up.
We told the lady at the front desk who told us to press harder in which we explained we pressed as hard as we could without breaking it. Her response was âIâm sorry I donât know what to tell youâ. Sweet customer service, right?
After about 30 minutes from arrival, we made it to our rooms only to find them outdated, muggy, and run down. One room had a very loud AC unit that couldnât cool down the room. One room had a very large gap in the door and the âprivacy lockâ did not work making the room feel unsafe and feeling exposed. However, outside of the rooms (lobby area, pool, dining area, even hallways, etc) were NIGHT and DAY. The hotel clearly prefers to put money into the looks/design of the hotel versus their actual rooms and safety measures. DO NOT STAY HERE; I booked based off the overall reviews and they were not accurate whatsoever. Best thing about this hotel was their pool area!
