Awful staff and service, OK room
We booked their suite for a one night stay Sat-Sun.
-Arrival: As free parking was advertised both on Hotels.com and their own website, we wanted to make use of this. Because the hotel has a popular pizzeria, all the parking spaces upon arrival at 6 PM were already occupied. First and foremost, I wonder why they do not prioritize hotel customers in the first place. Second, when asking about tips on where to find a parking spot in the area, the staff was extremely little helpful. At first, the woman at the reception told us to come back after 10 PM to find a spot on a Saturday right -only parking available after 10 PM after advertising free parking? She simply ended up saying in German “Ich muss arbeiten” (I must work), handed us the key and left the reception. Our first impression was awful and their way of welcoming us as guests was extremely unprofessional. It seems as if their major business is the restaurant and not the hotel.
-The suite was decently large and clean with a nice interior. The condition of the room was somewhat unsatisfying as the flushing button connected to the toilet was hanging out of the wall, although it did function ok.
-The connected pizzeria is very good
-The room is located right next to a busy road, so there will be traffic noise. Sound isolation is not good.
-You will find that the hotel has very many good google reviews. Be cautious, as most of these are related to the pizzeria and not the hotel
