On 5/16/25, I stayed one night at the Red Roof Inn at 200 Worcester-Providence Turnpike in Sutton. I'd come to visit a sick friend, and booked the hotel for two nights through Hotels.com. I checked in late, and was given room 113.
As soon as I walked in the lobby of the hotel, I thought I'd made a mistake. Ramshackle filthy. Not like any Red Roof Inn I remember.
Once I walked in through the door of the room, I knew I'd made a HUGE mistake. Ramshackle and filthy, and now with an indescribable odor. I called the desk immediately and told them that I wouldn't be able to stay in the room. I was told that I had the last room in the hotel.
I'm not a picky person. I chose the hotel because I felt "safe" using Hotels.com, and because all I need is a clean bed, hot shower, and a working TV!
I decided that I was "stuck" because of the late hour, and decided that I'd get used to the stench. Not even with my CPAP mask on my face did this happen. I slept poorly, showered, and put my things in the car. I headed to the front desk and told the young man everything. I said that I wanted a full refund, and that I'd be following through with Hotels.com.
