Bath floor was dirty. Shower rod sagged and curtain would not stay closed, resulting in lots of water on the floor. One small bar of soap and one small shampoo for two people. Requested more but employee said âhe was thru for the dayâŠask tomorrowâ,
Everything was good except the tub drained so slowly. It needs to be fixed. But the beds and bed linens were very comfy. Excellent location within walking distance to everything in town. And nice that we could bring our dog.
The room was nice and clean. It was on the older side but had everything we needed. It was a little challenge getting the heat setting where we like it but overall nicely comfy room and great night in BR.
Cute, clean, quiet, comfortable and had everything we needed. Great location, great price. Would totally stay here again. FYI- it is a motel-type inn where the doors open to the outside, but there are cute rocking chairs right outside the door and itâs in downtown Blowing Rock which is quaint and walkable.
Attractive property from the exterior, but showing its age inside. Clean and well kept. But baseboard radiant electric heat, ancient air conditioner unit mounted in wall.
The property is older but has obviously had some updates. The updates produce sort of a quaint feel to the room. All the necessary elements are there. One unusual feature was that it has sort of a "shutter door" that you can hook if you want to allow airflow in the room and not have the main door locked. I received a call a couple of days prior to travel to let me know what to expect in terms of check in and check out. It is family own and run and they have several different properties, so there is a self-serve aspect to it. Lots of resources about the area and a phone number stating where to reach someone if we had any issues was included with our check-in information. We really enjoyed the proximity to downtown and the Famous Toastery next door. It was quite a pleasant stay and the property was obviously under-booked in this "off off-season" during ASU's spring break. We had a pleasant time and enjoyed our stay there.
Love how little it is. Makes it more private. They use old fashion keys instead of cards and I love that so so much lol! Would definitely recommend to stay here again if only we werenât moving back to California!
My husband and I arrived at the village inn for a weekend getaway
My husband had a very bad migraine, we arrived two hrs before check in time.I asked if there was a was anyway we could get an early check in because my husband's migraine was terrible and he really needed to lay down. The guy at the desk asked my name and looked at the computer for a minute and then said no the room was not ready.
I said ok well what is our room number so we could park by the room and wait.
He asked my name again and then this time really looked at the computer and said 'Oh looks like your staying at our sister location down the street.
This told me he never looked at his computer for a early check in at all!!!!!!
I went to the sister location and again asked if we could get a early check in so my poor husband could lay down and rest. Well the guy working the desk was no better he said flat out NO.
There were no cleaning people around and all the rooms looked ready to go
Both were Very Unfriendly and VERYVERY RUDE!!!!.
I would never book this hotel again .we left 1 day early and was out 180.00.
BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!
