The hotels pool was closed, breakfast was incredibly limited, the juice machine didnt even work. The room wasnt restocked, the towels werent folded, there was only one. There was a used coffee pod in the keurig and only one pod to use, and it was decaf. Overall we wont be staying again

Don't Stay Here

After traveling 14 hours to arrive into Anchorage. Called to request shuttle. Told to wait at door 6 and it would be 30 minutes which is ridiculous for a shuttle for a hotel less than 5 minutes away. After waiting the 30 minutes, I was told it would be 10 more minutes. After ANOTHER 15 minutes, I called again and was told that she would send the shuttle. The Courtesy shuttle van never showed up so we go into a taxi to arrive at the hotel. Upon Check-in they said they couldn't find reservations. I explained that I had answered the email they sent and "pre-checked in". Then she found it. After Check-in, finally sent to my room. Opened the door and the lady already occupying the room screamed when we attempted to enter. Returned with all my luggage back to the desk and was simply told. "She shouldn't be in there". I was given a key to another room and sent on my way. No apology, no "sorry for the inconvenience", only here's your key. The room was less than ideal, the shower faucet leaked profusely even when turned off tightly, there was debris on the floor inside the room when we entered, there was no shampoo in the fixed container in the shower. There was one tissue in the Kleenex box and we came close to running out of toilet paper after one night. We will be returning to Anchorage in two weeks and will NOT be staying at this hotel again. We elected to pay double to stay elsewhere (and this hotel wasn't cheap). I will warn everyone to avoid this hotel.

The stay was horrible. Staff was great. Cleaning staff was awful and two were fired while we were there. Room was dirty and cleaning staff left instead of cleaning the room. Front desk people were great. Contine.tal breakfast was a joke. Nothing was available and staff were working with very little help. Hotel was just bought out and hadn't been fully integrated into the chains system. I would not recommend staying until they get thier act together.

Not worth the money

For the damn near 300 dollars for this room your better off renting a vehivle and sleeping in it. Or spend another 100 for a place that does not reak of discusting smells and run down facilities. The room 114 I stayed in at some point had the door kicked in and it was visable this place is just a dump

Unhappy

The driver that picked me up at the airport seemed unhappy. I dint know why. No smile. I tipped him regardless. The lady at the check-in counter was so so. I did get a smile out of her. My room was on floor one, one level below the entry level. Looking out the room’s window I see an unpainted plywood wall five feet away with unmaintained grounds in between. I could not see the sky which was blocked out by plywood wall. The window was open and difficult to lock due to the locking mechanism. The room looked drab, carpetting looked old, lamps looked worn, no warm feeling at all whether in the bathroom or the main room. Beds were OK. The room temperature was about 60 degrees. Heater did not work properly. I set the thermostat to 73 degrees and the heater did not turn on. I raised the temp up to 80 degrees. The heater came on but the room temp only came up to 65. I raised the thermostat to 90 and after some time the room temp stayed at 65. When I laid down to sleep I used the blankets from both beds to keep myself warm. Showering in the morning I got warm water quickly. The temperature control was touchy. Once the sweet temp spot was found moving the lever a small bit one way or the other resulted in large temperature changes. Wi-Fi was very slow with a weak signal, with the signal strength going from no bars to one bar in my room. I walked around and found stronger signal was near reception with higher download speeds. I will not stay here again.

A battered hotel with limited service

This hotel, or the part of it in which I stayed when I arrived from the airport, by taxi, at 2:00 A.M., still had its old name, Holiday Inn Express, on it, and the taxi driver wasn't lost. He knew about the hotel's name confusion. (It seems to me that this hotel might have been in various different buildings/locations in the past and, possibly, in the present, as well as under different names). The room I stayed in was in a semi-basement, and the room had been broken into before I arrived. The room's entry door's upper flip-across latch-lock was broken off the door. I was tired and put an old, heavy chair against the door which had pry marks on it and had not been repaired. The breakfast was not served for the full advertised period shown on the pre-arrival letter sent by email from the hotel to me and, apparently, to others. Several people who arrived for breakfast at the advertised time, but after the current one-hour early closure, were not served, even though there was and had been enough food: scrambled eggs, sausages, potatoes, bread, almonds. I showed my pre-arrival letter's breakfast times to the server and the desk clerk and suggested changes, but change didn't seem possible or under consideration. They only did what they were told. I took the available-by-appointment, free bus to the airport later in the morning.

Rundown and rusty

A rundown hotel that is lacking. Here are a list of the troubles we had at our stay: 1. The room key cards expire every day. We stayed for 4 nights and each day the key card expired having to go back to the front desk to get them to work. 2. Lots of wear and tear. Rusted metal trim around doors. Paint peeling. Wood chipped. Carpet nasty. Mold in the Keureg coffee machine. 3. The first room they assigned us hadn't been cleaned. They apologized and gave us another room. 4. The tub faucets in both rooms were dripping badly. 5. Breakfast was skimpy. Oatmeal was available in the packets. No cream cheese for the bagel. One small toaster for everyone. Juice machine was broken. 6. Lots of things hadn't been updated in years. Mercury switch for controlling the heater unit. I haven't seen that in 30 years.

Not bad, but not great

The hotel was ok. Nothing special. I was originally sent to room 148 but the key wouldn’t work. The desk agent sent me back to the room a second time and it still didn’t work. When I went back, she just moved me to room 248 but didn’t do any update in in the computer. I thought that was a little weird.

Awful!!!

Dirty! Previous holiday inn, in the middle of renovating. Construction everywhere. Dirty fingerprints all over the furniture in the room, black hair in the sink from a man shaving upon checkin. Sink totally clogged . Pee stains on the floor and on the toilet. Didn’t even look like anyone checked the room before giving us the key.

Stayed here before when it was the Holiday Inn. I like the proximity to the airport. The facility is very clean, but since I only stayed a few short hours I couldn’t enjoy the breakfast options, pool or other amenities. The staff at night and in the morning was very friendly and welcoming, the drivers from and to the airport very courteous. The only thing I hope will improve is the shuttle time: The airport is less than 5 minutes from the airport, but currently it doesn’t have its own shuttle. The bus comes all the way from their downtown facility, and it took about 30 minutes for the shuttle to arrive, plus the time we then waited for additional guests. 40 - 45 minutes for a hotel that’s so close is not convenient anymore, and I would have gladly taken an Uber instead - or chosen a different hotel. The scheduling for the morning shuttle worked out just fine, though. The bus was perfectly on time, the drive took about 4 minutes.

1- Airport shuttle service never arrived I waited for 35 minutes and decided to leave. From hotel to airport. 2- TV service was out for at least 36 hrs and my stayed was less than 48 hrs. Check-in was very fast and room was decent but breakfast and lobby area pretty bad.
