This hotel is showing its age, although for the most part it still looks pretty good. We stayed in a corner suite, which is the best room at the hotel according to the front desk. Despite this, there were stains on the chairs and the wallpaper was peeling in the bathroom.
It's an old school Embassy, so it has an open atrium. At night it was quite nice, with ambient lighting and quiet music over the PA system. The bar was not a good experience, however. Twice I went down at about 8:45pm and was ignored by the bartender. Both times, after about 15 minutes of sitting there I had to flag the bartender down. The second night the bartender chatted up a small group of other customers, repeatedly walking by me without acknowledging me. I bartended for 31 years - this is not how bar service is supposed to be done.
We've stayed here several times over the past couple of years. It's unlikely we'll stay there ever again.
