Amazing experience, only one downfall, the restroom. Was not at all private. Restroom was nice though. Also the hotel assumes we wanted valet parking and stated the valet was already included, like we didn't have a choice.
Beautiful hotel! I loved the uniqueness, the design. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The morning buffet was delicious! We even loved the smell when we entered, we commented on it every time we returned đ
Excellent atmosphere and location. Loved the layout of the room. Bed was comfortable. Towels could have been softer and bigger, and more of them. More convenient plugs by bed would have been nice.
The hotel was very cozy, clean. Beds were comfortable. Valet parking was very efficient. Check in/check out were very seamless. The rooms were very quiet despite being in a very busy area of downtown. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Houston without hesitation.
This hotel has historic charm, but it was also incredibly comfortable and well-designed. The room was spacious and very nicely decorated. Itâs right in downtown so everything we wanted to do was in walking distance.
Not what it used to be. Hair in my bathtub, not cleaned properly. Wouldnât stay at this hotel again. Bad service and nobody who works here knows what is going on.
Our first room was incredibly humid, carpet moist to the touch, bed linens were damp. The tub faucet was dripping on arrival leaving a large pool of water in it. We eventually asked to be moved. The 2nd room was better no excessive humidity but had a very loud AC. Unbearably loud even. We requested a 3rd room and that AC was even louder. I then asked to go with a hotel staff member to listen before assigning us. I was then told by hotel maintenance that all units would produce this same kind of sound. Basically, their AC is similar to motels. One front desk clerk was particularly rude during this entire period, growing increasingly frustrated with us for asking for different rooms. Other guests may have been able to handle the noise but we could not. Exhausted and unsatisfied with our stay we decided to ask for a refund and take our business elsewhere. The following hotel was a significantly better experience.
Hotel lobby is beautiful and very nice.
Only problem was that they do not have a service elevator. So, during mid-day you are always sharing the elevator with the housekeeping staff that is using the same elevator to move the towels, sheets etc to the basement for cleaning.
For EV users, there is a fast charging station right adjoining the hotel, which is convenient.
