A fabulous stay, but avoid the roof top bar

Our stay was really good. The service was great, the staff friendly and the rooms large and comfortable. We stayed in the club suites and enjoyed the club lounge that offered excellent snacks and drinks. The hotel is a little tired in places, especially the external paintwork, but it did not dampen our experience. My major complaint is the rooftop bar which is fabulous, but the drink prices are exorbitant. Cocktails selling for A$12 elsewhere are selling for A$44 here. I assume that since the hangover 2 movie, tourists have been flocking up there, and either the hotel is taking advantage of the situation or trying to keep numbers down. I therefore understand that they charge such high prices to the sightseers and tourists. However, they should have a separate drinks menu with reasonable priced drinks for hotel guests. They are forcing their guests to go out to other bars and clubs, rather than them coming up to the bar of their own hotel to enjoy their evening. I hope they take heed of this for future.
