Will not return and actually left a day early
Resort itself is beautiful but rooms are in rough shape! Not been updated in 20+ years according to front desk. Boy does it show. Well disguised on website, social media. Pictures online do not capture aging, neglected guestrooms. Cleanliness was not there. Marks on the walls and messy, quick fixes. Caulking up the walls + where trim meets walls really illustrated minimal amount of attention they have given rooms. Mold in coffee maker, they were quick to supply new one (but did not take moldy one ??). Electricity did not work in half the unit, husband located the breakers. Had annoying fruit flies length of stay. They were there before we arrived. Part of life, but it was constant. Source was garbage disposal. Housekeeping was very late in day which meant no clean towels. One day they took the used pool towels + forgot to replace with new ones. No big deal but when we went to front desk they told us we could get new ones only when housekeeping came thru to swap the towels. Had to explain they didn't leave any from day before, took the used ones, and didn't clean til late in the day. FYI, pool towels not offered at pools. One day housekeeping came thru at 5pm, just as we came home from long beach/pool day so we missed dinner reservations. Food...there is no breakfast served onsite. No reservations available at onsite restaurant. Tried speaking w/resort manager but got no where. She was well-versed with retorts leading us to believe she deals with complaints constantly.
