A beautiful hotel in a beautiful location

The room and bathroom were wonderful , and the room with a lovely view over Little Lake Jackson. It was spacious, very clean and comfortable . The staff were friendly and helpful . The breakfast isn't up to much as it is a tiny muffin . We asked for egg and got bacon despite making it very clear no bacon or cheese. The coffee and tea were tepid and not warm enough. It was also ridiculous that there was no milk for tea . As a result we didn't bother with breakfaston the second day, but bout something from a local supermarket. It sounds all very good getting breakfast delivered to your room until you get a constant noise of doors being knocked and staff saying"Breakfast" to other residents from 6 am at every half hour . It seems odd when they've got a beautiful restaurant that they don't offer a better breakfast in there. Another down is the restaurant doesn't open on Sunday evening.If they used that facility properly it would be an exceptionally good hotel.Overall we enjoyed our stay at this peaceful and quiet location.

Beautiful hotel and service

From the moment i saw the hotel i loved it. The gardens are beautiful. Then Sophi greeted us with a great smile, she is amazing, excellent service, friendly and very knowledgeable.She answered all our questions and suggested places to visit. Very clean and safe place. Our room had gorgeous view of garden and lake. Will definitely be back and refer all my friends here. We had breakfast by the pool. One of the best hotels, thank you Sophi for your incredible hospitality. You nake this place even better.

Sergio at the front desk was awesome. Helped with everything we needed. We picked a busy weekend and unfortunately we were given a room right next to the elevator. If given the option, pick another room because there was a lot of thumping and rattling around all night on the second night of our stay. Otherwise, We had a great time on our stay and at the restaurant on the property. Would stay again!

Charming Independent Hotel on Lake Jackson

Front Desk staff very friendly and helpful. Free breakfast delivered to room. Two options with beverages. Food homemade and delicious! Property well maintained. Last visited Feb. 2020, right before pandemic. Glad they have prospered. Lots of ambiance. Pool area quiet with many plants and lounge chairs. Overlooks the lake. Good place to relax and read a book. Will be back!

Perfect Hotel!

The gardeners deserve a raise! The flowering beauty of this place was absolutely astounding. The comfort & relaxation of lounging around the pool and taking in nature's beauty with a cocktail in hand was perfect. Unfortunately you cannot see the sunset, but there are other places to go to see that. We LOVED the "bagged", hot breakfast served when you wanted it, so we could have breakfast in bed. Very yummy. Parking was easy and the commute to downtown's "Circle" was fast enough. The only concern I have is to see about making their heavy, but beautiful front reception doors, automatic or have a wheelchair button to auto open when pushed.
