Convenient stay for one night
It is a really nice house in medina, next to Jemaa el-Fnaa. The riad is nice, it has a pool, a rooftop and an outstanding architecture and interior design. However, I believe it could have been much more interesting and beautiful experience. The house is really old and has a lot to offer but it felt like empty and not maintained.

Definitely needs an upgrade!
Well where shall I start, firstly the hotel is awful and definitely needs an upgrade but if you have a low budget then it's worth the price. Bare in mind that towels are only provided as and when and any extra need will cost you, the water is not so hot if you need a shower. The cleanliness is also very poor but the only thing good I can mention is the manager who was nice and hepful as one can be. I wouldn't go there again!

Nice stay for the price
This riyad means you are truly embedded in the Madena. Whilst the Riad is a bit shabby and points to a more impressive past it is very beautiful. When one is reviewing it you need to look at the price. And I feel that, considering the price it proved a very pleasant place to stay to experience the city.

Run down!
What could have been an excellent place, was run down and uncared for. The bar was empty - not even a glass in site! the people working there were totally unattentive. We have to ask for toilet roll, ask for breakfast food to be replenished. There was not a bin in the room. Our friends room had glamorous furniture but the toilet did not flush and the bucket they used to put water in it, also had a leak! Their shower did not work as well as ours did either. We had a good shower with plenty of hot water thankfully.
Harry a young lad working there was our saving grace at breakfast times and he help to organise trips for us at good prices from the Riad. He was very friendly and spoke good English. However, after he left to see his family, the other people working there couldn't be bothered to get there in time for us to have breakfast at 8am on the day we left. The excuse was that they were all taking children to school. I don't think 8am is too much to ask, especially as we had paid for b & b!
Location was great if you want to be in the heart and depths of the souks.

KEEP AWAY!! The photos on Expedia are deceptive.
When we arrived for check in the rooms were not available, although the gentleman at check-in (named khalid) decided to show us around to decided which rooms we wanted.
What I saw was absolutely disgusting and beyond belief.
There was a drainage leak on the first floor of the hotel.
The bathrooms were unsanitary and unusable.
The beds were broken at the base.
The beds were not made from the night before.
There was a strong aroma of damp throughout the entire Riad.
There was no natural light coming into the building.

Myself and my friends were forced to leave these premises as they were not even fit for a dog to stay.

Not fit for purpose
The building is an authentic Riad, but is just too old and not well maintained, smelled of damp & contained flooded rooms and floors.

It's not what it says on the website
Although the riads interior looks good, rooms are only cleaned when you tell them. New towels are only given when you ask for them. Pool is not useable it's in dirty condition. Riad was very cold all day even though it was warm outside or unless u were on the roof terrace. Short staffed. Breakfast same 4 things everyday. On our check in manager tried to scam us by saying breakfast wasn't included, good job i had my paperwork from expedia. Also rooms were not ready on arrival. My room had no lock and no light. Lock was fitted after 2 hours light was fitted the next day. We had arrived at night! No ventilation in rooms making them smell if you open yr windows they open out into the riad so no privacy. Expedia get this riad off yr site. Im sure im not the only complaint you've received for this riad.

Disappointing.
Positives; it's beautiful in the architecture sense. We did get lashings of hot water for showers in the morning. It's in the heart of Medina in a perfectly safe area to be out and about at any hour of the night or day.
Negatives; This Riad disappointed from the start sadly. The minute we arrived to check in we were asked for check out taxes. I didn't pay until I checked out. I was fully aware of these, unlike previous visitors. It would appear talking to many other guests that they had all experienced problems similar to ours. I had pre paid in my booking for a pool side room, breakfast and Wifi! We got none of these! I can live without Wifi (and pool side room) on holiday but for information to others, to get Wifi you need to sit near reception area. Enquired about the reason for having to pay again for breakfast answer was just because! So we didn't. We ate out every day.
Our room (19) was poor even by local standards so we just used it and abused it so to speak. Our less than delightful neighbours in room 21 liked to party until 3am!! Two males travelling together is always trouble! The toilet cistern leaked horribly onto the bathroom floor which I found yucky; we purloined towels to help mop this up! Needs must and all that. Glad I packed towels for showers as none provided and a travel kettle. The shower area was quite mouldy. I'd like to think this place isn't a scam but it's certainly lacking the welcoming touch.

Miserable in Marrakech
Wished we would have read more reviews prior to booking. Incredibly unfriendly and uninterested staff. Would not help us when locals were scamming us for money in the riad. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the showers were hot. The wifi was spotty and they were bothered when we asked for help. There was no offer or help with tours. At the end they ended up charging us an extra 500 Durams for hotel tax and an extra bed that was included with our booking - this price went up the more we asked for an explanation.

Terrible hotel
This hotel is totally unacceptable . it has no wi-fi in the bedrooms, no tv either .When we checked in there was no receptionist to book us in we had to search for someone to book us in. We had booked 2 rooms but was told that we had only booked 1 room . So they only give us 1 room which had one king size bed and single children's mattress. Couldn't sleep due to bad smell and damp in mattress. In the morning we complained and was told they would rectify problem but didn't. Third day they gave us 2 rooms but damp and smell again. We then booked another apartment because there was no way we could stay in this horrible dirty conditions. I am very surprised that Expedia have these of hotels in their contracts. The hotel has no transportation nearby. At night you can't walk back to your hotel due to the dark narrow alleys with young men loitering there.its very intimidating. This holiday was ruined because of this experience.

Hotel is very spacious and right in the medina . It is beautifully built , however it could be much better than it is . It has the potential to be great , however , it wasn't clean enough , and there wasn't even hand soap in the toilet . Shower didn't have lighting so it made it hard to shower . Nice attention to detail , and friendly owner
