We've stayed here twice, and the staff has always been super friendly and helpful. The beds are too soft for me and I leave with a sore back, but the price, location, breakfast selection and staff make up for it!

We have stayed her well over 12 times over as we visit SLV often. We've usually had a very good experience. Things have really changed for the worse. At our last stay, check in was a little harried, it seemed like the clerk was struggling. When we got to our room, the key cards didn't work. No problem, we got new ones, dropped off our things and went out. When we came back, our cards didn't work again. Neither did the replacement, so the clerk came down. She insisted we were in the room next door, and when she let us in our room she told us she had checked other guests in who had come in, saw our stuff and left. No one was going to tell us strangers had been in the room? She then said we were the problem because we were supposed to check out that morning. We had only checked in 2 hours earlier! Said she'd return with new keys and i asked for a privacy hang tag too, we didn't want housekeeping. She never came back, so we rretrieved cards. The beds are comfy but i see in other reviews that like this room, the shower curtains have smelly orange mildew. the next day and upon return, once again the cards didnt work. When we finally got in, i saw one bed had been sloppily made up, new towels but no hand towels or washcloths and my personal hygiene items were rearranged with a wet towel on top. If i thought clerk would have handled any of this, wed have reached out. Its too bad, its a fun spot but it's not being maintained well and strangers in my room was a final straw.

Clean & friendly but a bit run down
If you’re a movie lover this place is fun! It is very run down for transparency. Poor condition for the rooms like peeling wall paper and none of outlets worked (we didn’t let them know until morning because we had charge boxes on us and then think it was a breaker). It was though thoroughly cleaned. The floors and surfaces felt clean even if everything is in desperate need of an update. The bed was comfortable and you could see both screens from the room. Every staff person we encountered was super friendly and helpful. The breakfast was surprisingly decent and the view in the morning was stunning. If you are looking for higher end or nice new rooms this is not for you, but if you want a stopover that’s clean with good service with a unique focus it’s worth a stay.
