Our booked room had a smell of mould and had ants crawling around in the room. We told the staff, and they told us to have a look at another room. This room had the same issues, with ants crawling around in the room and in the bed. As the staff couldn’t offer us any other rooms currently, they gave us an ant repellent spray that we could use and told us we could come back tomorrow morning and have a look at yet another room. The sink in the bathroom of the second room was about to come off the wall and was partly covered in mould. There was a pair of glasses and pants left in the wardrobe from the previous guest, making us question the cleaning of the room between guests. The noice isolation was bad and a window panel was missing (which they had just covered with drapes). On the next day, we had a look at a third room, which turned out to be free of ants. However, the wardrobe and hangers still had quite a lot of dust and dirt left on them (they obviously don’t clean the rooms properly between guests), the fan was very dirty, and the towels and bed clothes had stains and holes on them. Overall, all the three rooms felt quite dirty. Additionally, the wifi was terrible and some of the staff acted nonchalant.
With the amount that we payed for this room we had definately expected a better standard; this was not worth the money! We’ve been traveling for two months by this time, and we’ve payed a lot less money for rooms that had better standard and was noticably cleaner than this.
