The TV would not turn off so I had to unplug it. There was no tea kettle in the room, which I guess I should have checked on before as well as no fridge to keep drinks cold. The air was so humid that everything was always damp. The a/c did not dry out the room. The front desk told me Expedia does not collect money and re-charged me. When both charges showed up on my bank acct I had to confront the front desk. He tried to tell me he didn’t charge me but I showed him the charge on my phone and he still denied that they charged me. Although it was in the historic section and I could walk to the center of town, I would not recommend this hotel.

Perfect Mérida Stay
The hotel was beautiful and the staff all around helpful and friendly. Cleanliness of the rooms was perfect, a beautiful, historic building and the pool area was so inviting. Walking out of our room everyday to that view was all we could have wanted. Incredible walk-ability to all we wanted to see in Mérida and the ease to book tours was so helpful to see the Yucatán’s beauty and history! Close to the historic downtown center and we felt safe walking all around.

This is a historic building that is being maintained at a high level. The only thing to comment on is the low quality of towels being used and sometimes the inconsistency of cleaning staff to supply the appropriate number of towels. Even though, I would stay here again.

This is a very charming hotel just a short walk from the city historic center. This is not your cookie cutter hotel. Quiet, and relaxing. Away from the hustle and bustle of downtown. It has a beautiful patio courtyard with a fountain and a second courtyard with a pool. The room we had was very spacious with very high ceilings. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
