Good facilities but shabby in parts

Beach and swimming were good. Staff were very helpful. And food was quite good (although prices are UK hotel level. Initial rooms (floor 6) were poor, but then moved to floor 10. However, still stains on carpet and very limited internet at higher levels. Visitors should be warned that left side of beach faces industrial port site which is certainly not photogenic.

My rating for this hotel should be Three Stars

The hotel is old and it has not been renovated and it not worth to give it as five stars, it’s rating may be should be of three stars. The services is hopeless, because I was kept more than an hour as the staff at the reception was doing another thing and at the end told me he can find my name on the system, which I was very disappointed and than he told another person who claim to be the manager and found my name. I did as if they have two separate systems but the manager say it is only one system. Very bad service at the reception and the hotel is very old need to be renovated to be given five stars.

We booked 3 rooms one of them was okay and the rest were totally different , very old furniture , bed and pillows was not confortable bath room was very old style look not cleaned toilet didnt work/flash well as well the bath , play area for kids has not much options and it is in the sand area , pool was nice

Good hotel but let down by bathrooms

Good hotel, with beach and pools and great staff. Only problem was the non-smoking rooms smelt of cigarettes and the bathrooms were barely functional and desperately needed a refurbishment.

Mold, filthiness and all-pervading incompetence

Incredibly filthy and dated place with incompetent greedy management who, despite the fact that the place is totally not as advertised, refuses to refund money. Dirty carpets, mold on the tile, mold and sewage smell in the air with no way to open a window for some fresh air... the "astounding" view over the Gulf is literally like from an army pillbox or bunker. This place is nowhere near the five stars they claim, not even comparable to a good three-star hotels galore in Dubai, Sharjah and Ajman. Stay away!

Ordinary hotel resort needs renovation to rooms.

The hotel is okay standard and the rooms need updating and a total refurbish. The bathroom especially needs to be updated. In general as a resort hotel it needs extra facilities for kids with slides etc.

Room more like 2* !

Given a 'free upgrade' to room near the pool but the room is in desperate need of repair. The problems we found are listed below: Toilet seat was stained upon our arrival. Shower wall was mouldy and the shower cubicle smelt of mould. Mould/damp from the shower has obviously seeped through the wall into the bedroom area of the room. Soap holder in the shower was rust. Tap on the shower room sink is wobbly. Shaver mirror light does not work. Toilet does not flush properly and the water keeps running, toilet cistern not re-fill until you press the flush again to stop the water. The retractable washing line in the shower did not retract. TV only had 5 channels not 46 as shown on the list in the room. Net curtain over the window is water stained and looks shabby. I was very disappointed in the way the room was cleaned during our stay for the following reasons: About 4 days into our stay the toilet was smelling so I cleaned the toilet myself with the only antibacterial thing I had with me – Mouthwash, this seemed to stop the smell and the toilet smelt a lot better after I had done this. Toilet rolls were not replenished so had to go in search of toilet rolls in the hotel. Dirty coffee cups left in our room for 3 days before they were removed. The sink unit was dusty and was obviously not cleaned during week long stay. I saw some hair on the edge of the sink and decided to leave it there as a test to see how many days it was before the sink was cleaned..... 48 hours!
