Unfortunate bathroom problem
We spent Friday and Saturday night at the Hampton Inn. On Saturday, our toilet backed up. I went downstairs to report this and said I needed it fixed right away. The person at the check-in desk didn't seem to know how to handle it. I was downstairs for 5-10 minutes. When I went back to my room, I noticed the door was unlocked. When I went in, the person from the front desk said that it was merely slow running and that it would eventually all go down. From Saturday through Sunday when we left, we were unable to flush the toilet. I mentioned it to the front desk first thing Sunday morning and was told they didn't have anyone on staff to deal with it. Things like this should have been addressed immediately, even if they had to call in a plumber from the community

I rented 3 rooms each for 2 nights at $250/night for my daughter’s wedding taking place in the area. I booked these rooms 10 months in advanced based on the high ratings Expedia provided. Unfortunately the night of the wedding my daughter returned to their room to see and smell vomit outside her room. Someone had vomited in several spots in from of their room. To deal with it the staff placed towels over it. My daughter thought staff was taking care of it and went in her room to bed from such a long day. They actually did nothing else. Throughout the night they could smell the vomit. I think the staff should have switched the room if they weren’t going to clean it up. As you can imagine by morning the smell was so much worse when they were leaving. I unfortunately was not made aware of this till after their return from their honeymoon, I would hope in the future a hotel of this caliber would have a rug cleaner to deal with such episodes in the future.

Great stay as always
We stay at this hotel every August. The rooms have received some nice updates since our stay last year. We are always happy with the overall cleanliness and condition of the rooms and common area. The two main drawbacks remain the same every year. This would be that the water pressure is not that great, requiring you to use laser mode on the shower head if you have an higher flow shower at home. Also, the rising cost even when booked far in advance. We stayed 2 days this year instead of 3 because a weekday was as expensive as a weekend.
