Beautiful spot, but amenities not so good!

This resort was very nice in a great area with a BEAUTIFUL beach! Our room was very spacious with lots of space to spread out. The town itself was very pretty with many great restaurants and bars. It felt very safe. That being said, I believe this resort has a cash flow problem. The normal amenities like information about the room and resort, hand towels, wash cloths, gift shop or convenience store, etc were not provided. We did finally get hand towels after asking for them. The main grounds were well taken care of, but surrounding grounds maintenance was lacking. We were looking forward to using the pools and swim up bar, but the water was too cold to swim in. (not heated at all) The restaurant for lunch and dinners was only so so. The breakfast restaurant was terrible. My partner ordered sausage and eggs - he received overcooked eggs and 2 cold hot dogs! We ate almost all our meals in other restaurants in Nopolo and Loreto, which were really good. The location was really wonderful though and we were glad we didn't stay in town. It was a quick drive there when we wanted to go.

Failed Potential

Location location location ! So much possibility upon arrival and so much disappointment to follow! Room was not very clean, very noisy, outdated amenities in room, no pool towels, jacuzzi broken and whatever you do …Do not eat at the pool restaurant!!! Food was worse than terrible and expensive for being so bad! Staff seemed not to care. Our room finally got cleaned at 4pm. Outside the hotel there are many places to eat so if you have to stay at the hotel do yourself a favor and eat off property! This hotel/resort could be stunning but oh it needs an infusion of care, lots of money and much much better management!

Sweet spot for a relaxing vacation

Location was Perfect! Room was comfortable with some minor issues ( lights in bathroom dim, slider door loose bolts , shower water not very hot but adequate ) food at restaurant was excellent . We really enjoyed our stay and will return.

A peaceful place

Always peaceful during the month of February, this is our 3rd time at the resort. It is calm, simple, with nice rooms and a fantastic location to rest: walking on the beach and kayaking are our main activities. You can snorkel too but the water was pretty cold this year. Beautiful birds life too, especially with pelicans. It is close to Loreto which wan adorable town to visit: full of history ((1st mission built), friendly and clean.

Sooooo Close to Great.

Great property with even greater potential. We loved our stay & had a great time & it was very comfortable & the staff were very nice and and the property seemed to be very well-maintained, so on the surface, no real complaints, but not sure if it was status quo for this place or skeleton staff for slow season but there was this bizarre undertone of slightly forgotten or pseudo-abandoned? I don't know how to explain it - a weird dichotomy of perfect, but slight signs of...why? Simple things like disabled heater function on new wall-mounted cooler/heater units, or beds with only thin sheets so had to call for a blanket as the nights were quite chilly, or providing just one glass with the ice bucket that had two coasters (& no ice machine on the property so having to walk to the restaurant to pickup ice) or lacking a 'do not disturb' sign so the housekeepers don't wake you up, or having 2 mini-fridges but no microwave, or having an empty private hot tub on the balcony with the cover sitting against a wall in the corner of the living room, or having a 75% empty gift shop, etc. Weird little things that could be so simply addressed, but are definitely not deal-breakers in any sense of the phrase. To be sure, overall, we loved our stay and would absolutely have no problem or complaints staying here again. In fact, we really liked it. Just seems like these little things that could be so easily addressed that can help push it over the edge closer to greatness.

Great

We stayed a week at the hotel. Staff were friendly and our housekeeper was very good. There were a few minor challenges, a light was out in the bathroom, and the toilet seat was half off, but not something that couldn't be worked around. It was particularly cold and the one blanket left us freezing. We brought our own comforter and we couldn't have done without it!! I also brought my own pillow ;). Overall a very good option.

I’ve stayed at this place before. Looks like it’s under new management. Some rooms need some upgrade but for the price not bad and you have a beach. Local areas to eat including the pool area. Very low staff but did not affect our service. Security on the premises.

Hubby and I just spent 4 days at Loreto Bay Golf Resort and Spa...We loved the resort, it's a very spacious resort with its own private beach and lagoon! The establishment is well kept (taking in mind that its an old resort), our room was clean and establishment was well maintained. We enjoyed our food at the pool restaurant. Staff was very attentive. Looking forward of coming back soon!
