Ok stay but could be better.

The accommodation itself was very good for what we wanted from a 2 night stay where we were out exploring for most of the day, however the cleanliness of the property was questionable. Surfaces, white goods, bedding and bathroom facilities were clean however the floors had not been cleaned properly and had to be swept by myself on arrival, the bathroom floors and tiles were in need of some attention and the floor under the bed was disgusting. The blinds throughout need to be cleaned / replaced specifically the kitchen blind which exhibited dead flies and mould in the bedroom blind. Wardrobe runners were dirty and dusty, some skirting boards need a paint and refresh and the accommodation was musty on arrival and not very fresh, especially the bathroom which smelt of stagnant water. I did complain and provided photographs and was assured this was not their usual quality and would be taken up with the site manager and housekeeping manager. I have been offered either a partial refund or discount and meal voucher which is still in discussion. The site itself is lovely and the lake is picturesque. The leisure centre is a good facility although the sauna could do with a clean and update.

Lovely place

Lovely place, we’ve stayed before and will stay again. Only issue is the cleaning of the sofa bed, it obviously hadn’t been cleaned properly for some time and when we opened it up I had to give it a proper vacuum and we had to request a new mattress protector as it was dirty and sheets/ duvet cover that weren’t with spare duvet and cushions. The staff sorted it quickly and were super helpful.

Great little base for families for the Lakes

Really lovely place to stay, lodge had all basic necessities (plus more) and was relatively clean, I would definitely come back again for the price we paid it was an absolute bargain, reception staff were very friendly also and checking in was straightforward!

Beautiful resort round lake

Only reason not 5 star was only realised when arrived the pool was closed. Granddaughter so disappointed that we had to find public swimming pool to take her too. Accommodation excellent lots of room for 4 though can have 6. Would definitely stay again.

The lodge was spacious for a family of 2+2. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen is well equipped. There was no water sports since it is February. We enjoyed swimming at the pool and playing tennis and mini golf as a family. There are beautiful walks around the lake. Plenty of ducks and swans in the lake. However we found that floor in the lodge was sticky and not clean. One thing we noticed was, there was no tablet provided to wash clothes in the washing machine.

We'll be back :)

Our first time at this place. In general the lodge was nice with everything you need. Wee comments: It had electric heating which didn't manage to cope with weather outside, so the lodge was as cosy/warm as it should be. Also the lack of thermostat meant that temperature couldn't be controlled. No proper heating in the bathrooms Kitchen seems to be renovated recently but for some some reason they decided to install old fashioned electric hob, instead of modern induction ones, two problems with tha, It takes ages to hear a water to boil, No control/indication that the hob is on and/or still hot. (Managed to burn myself, even though I was the one using it, so can be much more dangerous for other people/children) They are not energy efficient compared to induction ones (and the resort is playing the eco card)
