This hotel is gorgeous, as are the grounds. It was oddly empty though, both guests and staff. It feels like we were there at the wrong time of year or the wrong era. A bit dated in some ways, but it also feels like it was a top of the line resort at some point. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We very much enjoyed our stay.
Really disappointed that the pool and hot tub were closed and will be closed until 2027 per the owner/ manager. He told us they are having trouble finding help.
The hotel is nice and clean however the pool was under maitenance and we were not aware. What a disapointment as we choose the hotel because of the pool and the view.
This is the second time we've stayed here on our way to Canada. The staff is friendly, the hotel is clean and safe. We got a good night's sleep and that's all we needed!
It looks like they are remodeling due to ladders and other tools around the hotel.
The staff is very friendly and helpful and we got a good nightâs sleep.
There's a lot to do around this hotel, as it is situated on a lake (it's Minnesota, so this is probably to be expected). This was convenient to getting to the southeastern side of Voyageurs National Park. The room was adequately comfortable and felt clean. Breakfast begins at 4:00 a.m. which is convenient for hunters, fishing people, and truckers. They serve pizza 24 hrs/day. The staff was friendly.
We picked this location due to the availability of swimming facilities for our daughter. However upon arrival we were told that the pool is it of service and is yet to be brought back to service.
Staff was welcoming and informative, room was clean. I do wish that the Continental breakfast consisted of more than just sweets, muffins, waffles, boiled eggs, cereal and coffee. Bacon and sausages would have been great to have in the morning.
