I intentionally booked a beautiful room with a bath tub for the end of our trip to Europe. The day we were arriving, they switched our hotel and said they were “upgrading us” This wasn’t true. We went from a honeymoon suite with a beautiful design and bath with a full bed to a room that was very average with a “mop it yourself” shower and 2 twin beds. No one was there to speak with. No one checked us in or out. Felt cheap. Looked online and the rates for the room we ended up with were much different. The next day they showed “technical issues.” They should have said that instead of pretending they upgraded our stay.

Good stay in the centre of Bloemendaal
Good stay in the centre of Bloemendaal. The hotel uses an automated system to enter the hotel and the room with an app which replaces a reception and key. The room was clean and on point, however there are no extra facilities in the hotel. Beneath the hotel there is an (independent) restaurant. The location of the hotel is very convenient, in the center of beautifully green Bloemendaal, and only a 5 minute drive to the North Sea.

Pleasant room overlooking the park. Check-in is at another hotel two blocks away. Very steep stairs with no readily available elevator. Awkward lock to enter hotel. Breakfast is at Bleeker Hotel two blocks away and was the worst of the trip. Indifferent service, stale cheese and even the boiled eggs were bad. The room was good and was made up daily. The town of Bloemendaal is very pretty and rental bikes allow you to explore it.

Hotel just outside Amsterdam
The hotel is situated in a lovely place called Bloemendaal, which isn't far from Amsterdam, though by rail I am not so sure how easy that is. Bloemendaal is just out side of a nature reserve and very close to the sea. The hotel is quite,clean and well presented with sensible checking in and out times. Lovely restraint below the hotel for breakfast , lunch and tea. One thing to remember is the City Tax which is euros 2.50 per person per day _ privilege of been near the beach?!?

Lovely Village, Clean and quirky rooms.
Quirky rooms, very clean, coffee and tea provided in the rooms. Breakfasts are fresh and cooked to order. This hotel is obviously a popular place for locals and as such can be very busy and noisy at night. The village area of Bloemendaal is delightful and worth a stroll through.

Very warm welcome
I was lucky enough to be able to park right outside this hotel, although there were not many parking places available. The welcome was outstanding, lovely staff who went out of their way to see to our every need. The stairs going up to the room were very steep, but the room was very clean with a comfortable bed.

Great overall stay
My boyfriend I stayed at Bloemendaal for a night during our visit to Haarlem. Our overall experience was great. The hotel staff, especially Sophie, was very friendly and helpful. They answered all their questions and made our stay very comfortable. We rented bikes at the hotel which was very convenient and it was a short beautiful ride to the city center. We extremely enjoyed our stay there and would recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Haarlem.

Calm, relaxing stay on outskirts of Amsterdam
We had a very pleasant 4-day stay here with day trips to Amsterdam and exploring Haarlem, the local dunes and sights. The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was wonderful and we were able to hire bikes directly at the hotel. The train to Haarlem is about 5 minutes; Amsterdam about 20 minutes. The only issues we had on arrival were hot water and telephone, but both of these were quickly fixed. The hotel bar/restaurant is cozy and serves very good food. Steep steps to rooms would not be suitable for the very overweight or elderly. We would happily stay here again.
