Ok stay!
Staff was friendly. The food in the restaurant was delicious! The room was outdated, could use a deep cleaning and smelled musty. The heating/cooling system didn’t work very well, kept cutting out and was very noisy. The bed was comfortable.

Nice property, Worn rooms
There are no elevators other than the rooms in the hotel itself. For the price, the rooms are quite worn and some of the plugs didn’t work and the toilet didn’t work well

Lovely property and grounds. Room and bathroom smelled musty but bed was clean and comfortable. Nice lakeside restaurant but pricey for the quality of food. I had the duck breast which had no seasoning/flavour. Oysters were fresh but only served the shallot vinaigrette, no horseradish or Tabasco. My husband had the shrimp app and salmon entree and said it was good as was the chocolate torte.

Beautiful location, but the resort is showing it's age. We stayed in the main lodge, furnishings and bed covers need updating. The worst part was the shower and sink drain were both plugged. We were moved into another room but it set the tone for the rest of the stay.

The resort is good, but the room has an awful smell. I wouldn't recommend choosing a traditional room in this hotel room selection; very bad for staying with family.

It was a little pricey for the room we had. It was outdated and we lost hot water after 5 minutes of use and the toilet didn’t want to flush good. Food at the Narrows was delish and we loved the pool.

Lovely place to stay
The resort is lovely. Beautiful view of the water. The grounds are very pretty with flowers every where. Front desk was helpful with advice of nearby restaurants. Our only problem was that our room was on second floor and we had 2 flights of stairs to climb carrying our luggage.

We loved the proximity to water, lovely views.Could walk to town busy road though.Amenities were great. The room we were assigned initially smelled like urine and the carpet was badly stained, smell was awful. They moved us but did not apologize or think it was odd.The rooms especially bathrooms could use a good clean. No elevators, not for people with mobility issues.Taking lugfage up three flights not ideal.

4/10 Fair

Traveled from Arizona. This was a disappointing stay. The building the room was in (Glasgow House) was outdated. There was water and other damage throughout the halls and windows in common areas. Some common areas had old phones and appeared unclean. Room was musty smelling and minimal with no wall decor. Small TV with basic cable that had a number of channels not working or with static making them unable to be watched. The gym area was very small with old equipment, missing weights, and now air circulation (small window with an air conditioner not turned on). Pool was nice but the outdoor hot tub, sauna and indoor hot tub were "out of order" first day of our stay. The Narrows Pub was good, good food and all staff were very nice. Front desk staff were also nice. Would not recommend. I think for the price with the amenities being "out of order" warrants a partial refund. A resort with no amenities working other then the pool seems odd. Disappointing we were not put in the newer buildings.

Would come again
Very peaceful. Love the waterfront. Would have given it more star but the room had a smell when we walk in but other than that it great. Maybe because it was in the older building. I would book again but stay in the main building. Breakfast was delicious.
