Our stay at St. Michael’s Inn was unacceptable. The room had an overpowering, unpleasant odor—we spent over $30 on air fresheners just to make it bearable. The carpet was damp and unpleasant to walk on without shoes. The bedding was old, dingy, and far from what any guest should expect.
When I raised these concerns with the front desk, I was told, “Well, you booked through a third-party site.” That response was both dismissive and unprofessional. Does booking through Hotels.com mean guests deserve a subpar experience? Absolutely not.
St. Michael’s is a beautiful town, but this inn does a disservice to it. I strongly urge future visitors to stay elsewhere—you deserve far better.
