Don’t go!

Would never return or recommend. Booked a deluxe King but received standard king. I was being charged for the deluxe though. When I returned to the front desk to get this corrected I was told it was hotels.com’s mistake and they couldn’t do anything about it. Totally unhelpful (not a busy time as I was the only person there). I returned later to speak to a manager and at first she repeated what I had been told originally, also unwilling to correct the price. I persisted and finally got the room I had booked. 3 nights, no new towels, soap, shampoo or turn down service. I asked for milk at breakfast and was told they never have it. Sink clogged every time we ran the water. No one seemed overall that friendly as far as the staff goes. Lots of places to stay in that area that were nicer, so sorry I stayed there.

Right Location, Just know what you're getting into

The stay was decent overall, with a mix of pros and cons. The location is definitely a strong point, conveniently situated near major highways, it made traveling to nearby spots like Gloucester, the Rockport shops, and even Salem really easy. There are also several grocery stores in the area, which was a plus. The room itself was neat and comfortable when we arrived, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The grab-and-go continental breakfast was surprisingly filling and a nice way to start the day. That said, the property could use some updates. While the room was tidy, the general cleanliness of the place wasn’t quite up to par. The pool in particular was not very well maintained, which was a disappointment. We were also a bit let down to find out the hot tub that was advertised in pictures had actually been removed back in 2020, which wasn’t made clear ahead of time. If you're looking for a simple, budget-friendly place with a good location and friendly staff, this could work, just know what to expect going in.

Needs some TLC.

There was broken glass outside our door. We found a vape in the pullout couch. There was no linens to make the couch bed. While the front-desk receptionist was very prompt to deliver the linens, he brought the wrong size (they were twin for a rollaway bed). There was water damage on the ceiling above the shower. Ants in our room and on the bed!!! The pool is in its own building; it was very nice, and the bathrooms were clean. However, they did not have towels available by the pool so if you don’t bring one from your room, you’re up a creek and will be running back to your room cold.

The picture they show of the inn is from the back pool area, which did not look like the picture. The pool was closed which they did not disclose on their website. Very disappointed about that. The room was very clean and updated but the mattress was not comfortable. I did not have a good night sleep. The breakfast was ok if you like prepackaged pastry. Invest in a waffle iron and more fresh fruit. The coffee was very tasty.
