Breathless Cabo San Lucas Resort and Spa - Optional All Inclusive - Adults Only, Cabo San Lucas

Hi there, I am sending this email as I had a very frustrating experience with this hotel. I am not quite sure where to begin as it is fairly lengthy however I will provide as much detail as possible as I refused to call hotels.com on a very short vacation for my mothers birthday. First off, I have booked off hotels.com several times and have never had an issue. My frustration and complaint is around the hotels decision to not inform their guests that there were several conventions occuring during the days I stayed at the hotel. I completely understand that hotels do hosts events and certain companies. However, I had never seen anything like this before as these companies and events were interfering in what the regular hotel guests paid for. when i approached the staff they informed me that management would call me which never happened. Secondly, I was told to reach out to hotels.com which i felt was ridiculous as this is a HOTEL issue not my booking. I guess my question is whos problem is this? as I will need to clarify this for future bookings. If hotels refuse to address issues because i booked through hotels.com i find that bizarre. the situation is far to lengthy however to give you a sense of what happened I have written the above.

We love staying at Breathless. This was our second stay at this resort. The view from the front pool is amazing. The service at the front pool was top notch. Shout out to Williams (he was my favorite), Alan, Daniel, and Michele. They all really took care of us. I swam laps in the pool every morning and our last morning there Williams already had my banana waiting for me on my lounger for when I was done. It was nice to get away and relax... Everything was very clean and we loved the room and amenities too. We love the location of Breathless. I like to run while on vacation and the Marina right outside the door is the perfect place for a morning. We also loved the food and service at Bites. My husband ate breakfast at Bites every morning, and we loved dinner there too. Christian was an amazing server at Bites. We will definitely be back again...we love staying at Breathless...

Food was good to excellent. Service is spotty; as soon as we gave a large tip (10$), the server was never seen again. There is a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean but we couldn't enjoy it due to the DJ playing incredibly loud, bad, dance music. This is NOT a resort but more of a hotel that sells day passes to the party pool...

We have stayed at this property 4x's, previously we always enjoyed for a quick getaway. However, we can no longer recommend it, it has gone downhill. The staff has changed. The room was sub-par to say the least. The door to our room did not close properly (the lock was busted off), it was not clean (stickers from someone's clothes were on the floor, hair clumps in the bathroom, a light was falling out of the ceiling and the bath towels and floor mats were shredded). In addition, the first morning we left the room around 9am and returned around 4:30pm, the room was never cleaned. We had to call down. The second day the room was cleaned (clean is pushing it btw) HOWEVER THEY TOOK ALL THE TOWELS AND DID NOT LEAVE FRESH ONES. Again we had to call. Coffee cups were outside our room for 48hrs and never picked up. The food was terrible, our expectations were low from previous stays, we always eat dinner off property but we do not expect the food to be cold when served. The pool had no towels, the MUSIC was beyond loud & the servers at the pool would take our order and then either forget or take 20 min to bring drinks, even when we were giving $10-$20 tips each hour. They offered paddle boarding for $10/hr then when we got to the beach the kid who worked at the hotel said it was actually $40 CASH. We confirmed with our concierge and it was $10, he was scamming guests...Save your $$. We go to cabo 3-4x's a year and stay at a variety of hotels & we won't return to this property.

Incredible location, and service!! 5 stars!!

Breathless was a great location. My husband and I loved that it was right on the Marina and beach. Plenty to walk to and plenty to do and see. The check in process was OK. We were part of the Exhale Club. They asked for our passports which they took and we didn't see for a while. We wondered why and looking back wished we had just shown them an ID to check in. We weren't bothered about going to the Sales Pitch and were thankful for that. The hotel is beautiful. Our room was great and the amenities were awesome. We just left the maids a note before we left the room for the day for what needed to be restocked. We loved the pool area. The only thing is the first day we were there the main pool closed at 4 for a private employee party that we weren't informed about. The second day they started setting up at 4 for a private party, thankfully after I spoke to management they allowed us to stay on the side of the pool we wanted to, just moved chairs. The buffet food was just OK. I wouldn't eat there again. We extremely disliked Ocote. Very little menu choices, and alcohol isn't included. We actually wished we hadn't eaten there. The other restaurants are much better. The best restaurant is Bites. Amazing food. We ate there for breakfast and wished we had eaten there for a night for dinner instead of Ocote. The staff was all very friendly. Carlos at the main pool was awesome. We would definitely return!

Needed more food options but the location is awesome

Great Location being in the Marina where all the pubs and restraurants around you. However,room was average and doors don't shut automatically! Walls very thin and can hear everything!Sure noisy when music is played down at the poolside late at nite! Was dissapointed with the room and their so called top shelf bar in the rooms!Had nothing but a few beers and soft drinks despite even telling the reception that we were there celebrating our 30 year anniversary! The service at the restraurants was great especially O Neil the waiter. Won't be in a hurry to stay there again!
