A charming stay in a beautifully restored old coaching house. This family-run hotel is warm, cozy, and full of character. The atmosphere is welcoming from the moment you arrive, with friendly owners who go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food is excellent, homemade, hearty, and full of flavour.
Disappointed to learn upon arrival that there was no evening service / bar / restaurant. Very helpful lady at reception guided me to suitable eateries and there was a local village map in my room showing the same.
My room was with a âcosyâ en suite with shower & toilet however I noticed some rooms had seperate facilities - I wouldnât have stopped if I had been given one of these rooms!
The room was comfortable but I think Iâve seen too many Hotel Inspectors not to notice dust in areas that possibly get overlooked.
I arrived early (around 15:00hrs) and the heating wasnât on so the room was chilly for a couple of hours. Nothing that tea & biscuits (provided) couldnât solve.
Breakfast was a generous affair, again with excellent service.
