This was our second stay at Maritime. Both times an alarm clock was set for an hour much earlier than we wanted to wake up. 4:45 am this morning. And I couldn't figure out how to keep it from going off again! The two shades were tangled in an open position. We had to work to close them. The body lotion was empty.

The lobby was hideous and under construction, which was not mentioned in the hotel listing. Pictures were not representative of this hotel. The room was in poor condition, very noisy, and very mimimally decorated. The ownership/management must have a lack of interest in elevating this property to a higher level.

The good and what could be better
Hotel is still under renovation. Especially the entrance.the first impression when you enter it gives a poor and uncomfortable feeling. Definitely, they could have done better. The curtains and a small desk for check in doesn’t reflect any welcoming impression. Our room was renovated but with poor material. The room was comfortable and the hotel location is convenient for travellers being close to airport and cruise port. The breakfast and the service was excellent but it could be included in the price especially to compensate for the inconvenience of renovations.

I was a little disappointed that the restaurant wasn't open to try their food but other than that the hotel is beautiful and my room was very nice and clean. I was extremely comfortable and I have to say I had gotten the best rest that I had in a long time. I would definitely stay here again.

Get close to the port, with transportation!!!!
A GOOD CHOICE before your cruise. The hotel is probably 3 miles or a less from port Everglades and the airport. Everyone's talking about Alysssa. She's the young lady who asssited us with booking complimentary airport to hotel shuttle, and also storing our luggage to checking us in early. Every step of the way she was awesome. We arrived in Ft. Lauderdale before 10 am. We shuttled to the hotel. Walked down to a restaurant called rendezvous and had lunch. Alyssa called us around noon to let us know our room was ready. This was perfect as we were traveling with our disabled daughter who needed to unwind. The rooms are nice, clean for the most part, just a few minor things could be attended to. The hotel is going through renovations, however it smells amazing. There's a restaurant on in the lobby. We didn't get a chance to try it but it's something on the menu for MOSTLY everybody. We booked our port shuttle with the same company for the next day, it's not complimentary, it's currently $15pp which is fair. The drivers are familiar with the area and crew so they get you right in. I definitely recommend this property for your pre/post cruise visit. There's not much else around the property. We did catch an Uber to Winn Dixie which is about 2 miles away for $5 both ways. I hope this helps 🙂
