When in Rome, we stay here
This was our fourth time to stay here and we are always impressed with the service and the staff. The location is very convenient to the train station as well as other sites. The breakfast is always great and there are a lot of restaurants within a block of the hotel. Definitely recommend.

Good for transport hub access and City centre
Very central place to stay near the Termini where the buses and trains start/finish. Room was very quiet opposite from rooms that were above the streets. The D-Superior beds were good allowing easier TV viewing with a vibrating head and/or foot option. Plenty of eateries within walking distance. I'd advise to have the hotel breakfast as you have more options and it works out cheaper than on street cafes.

Wonderful Rome hotel
Everyone was wonderful and willing to help with resturant reservations and tours. The breakfast was outstanding, looks of variety and really delicious. Short taxi ride to Vatican, colosseum, etc I highly recommend and would stay again.

6/10 Good

Convenient, but not that nice
Location is good near Termini Station. The rooms are very small, but quite well kept. The staff are friendly, though it is a bit annoying to receive so many messages about airport transport (the hotel is very easy to reach from the station). My biggest complaint was that it was very difficult to control the temperature in the room without opening the window and curtains. There was an aircon, not sure if it was on, I tried like 3 different settings and none affected the temperature (partly I think because the machine is behind a curtain)

Not even close to being a 4 star Hotel.
A pet peeve of mine are "Luxury Hotels" that list amenities that they do not actually supply. Augusta Palace fits right into this category. It lists itself as a Four Star Hotel but does not actually offer those amenities, like Room Service or having a restaurant or bar on the property then after you check in you get a weasel-like insincere apology. Meanwhile they "Forget" to take down the listings on sites that they have the aforementioned Room Service, restaurant, bar and other services. The rooms were tiny and cramped and not very comfortable. The clearance between the bed and the wall was maybe about 14 inches so you really have to be careful not to bump your head or face into the wall when you get up out of bed. The bathroom shower doors were moldy along the top rim and the shower was a bit smaller than a phone booth. I would never, ever stay at this hotel ever again. No.

Not a 4 star hotel.
Room was clean, unfortunately situated at the front of the building with no access to air conditioning, made sleeping rather challenging. Laundry service repeatedly woke me, as I had to sleep with a window open due to lack of air conditioning. Bathroom - Flushplate of toilet broke, wasn't fixed for duration of our stay. Shower Drain was partially blocked, meaning you could run the shower for no more than 5 minutes before the room would be flooded. Hygiene products left were irritating to skin and poor quality. Shower valve had a large hole in wall behind it - don't even want to think of what could have been growing in there. TVs were not smart TVs, no kettle or tea/coffee available in room. Room itself was rather small. Really just a bed, TV & a cramped bathroom where if you sat on the toilet, your knees almost touched the sink. Cleaning staff were fantastic, pleasant and even came back to clean our room a morning after we slept in a little too long. Overall, not a 4star hotel, compared to ones I've stayed in previous. It's cheap, but you get what you pay for. Expect a 3star experience.

Our room was too small, we mentioned our issue to those wonderful folks at the front desk. Next day we were given an upgrade at no charge. This particular good-will gesture, customer service, was so appreciated during our week-long stay. Love Augusta Lucilla Palace. We travel through Rome twice yearly and book ALP at least once a year since COVID. Grazie Mille

Hidden gem in Rome
Small room but very nice, everything was clean and all the important stuff worked. Big windows that opened right up, great to get some fresh air in the room. A bit noisy from the street but it is the middle of Rome so not really surprised (no noise at all with the windows closed) Roof terrace nobody seemed to use, we got some drinks from the local supermarket and had a lovely evening chilling up there. Local shops and restaurants, very friendly staff and great food and prices. Although some areas near the station are a bit dodgy, the streets around here felt safe even late at night. Would highly recommend, great value and great location.

Good and clean hotel near Roma Termini
A good and clean hotel near Roma Termini. There were many good restaurants and groceries around, and the reception was available 24 hours a day. Some staff are friendly and accommodating while others wouldn't even say hello or smile when you walk in. Other than that, it's a decent hotel with reasonable prices
