La réservation a été faite en tenant compte de la mention, sur votre site : "Profitant d'un emplacement de choix sur la plage" . . . il s'agit en fait d'une petite plage privée et il n'est pas possible de marcher sur la plage (elle mesure 15 mètres et le reste sont des pontons pour les bateaux). Mon épouse a été très déçue, il faudrait sans doute modifier votre description ! Nous sommes présentés à 15 heures : réception fermée et nous avons fini par trouver quelqu'un pour nous dire de traverser la route et d'aller voir dans les boutiques de l'autre coté (traversée de route très dangereuse) où, après quelques minutes, quelqu'un est venu, a fait notre check-in et est reparti ! Pas de prise de courant à la tête du lit (mon épouse utilise un appareil pour respirer de nuit), j'ai dû retourner solliciter quelqu'un à nouveau dans la boutique pour obtenir un rallonge électrique qui nous a été prêtée fort aimablement je dois dire. Pas d'air-conditionné, le Wi-Fi ne marchait pas dans les chambres que nous occupions de l'autre coté du bâtiment de la réception. L'une de nos chambres était équipée d'un four à micro-ondes et l'autre d'un réfrigérateur. Par chance nous avons pu "jongler" entre les deux. C'est le seul hotel/motel de tout notre périple qui n'est pas de la classe Expédia . . . copie à revoir !

We weren’t even able to check in because no one would answer the door or the phone! I could hear it ringing and there were lights on and vehicles out front but no answer. We had been on the road for hours and were happy to arrive. The pictures of this motel are very misleading. It’s a dump and I’m actually grateful they didn’t answer the door because I read other reviews online and apparently there are many issues with this property.

Just terribly dated rooms. No air conditioning, musty smell, toliet seat hanging on by one hinge Looked like the rooms havent been upgraded since the 70s. Parking is vague, with locals helping themselves to paying customers spots. Mattresses were super thin, hardly like a real bed mattress. Overpriced for $85 a night.

Clean, friendly, 60s vibe
First let me say we were not expecting a high class hotel. I was returning to Houghton Lake after nearly 50 years to an area where my family vacationed through the 60s (the resort now long gone). I wanted a place right on the lake and within walking distance to some restaurants, and I also wanted a place that would give me a sense of connection to the past. Korbinskis fit the bill. The vibe of the room was clearly something from days gone by which was fine with me, but others might not appreciate the worn look. Everything was clean. The managers were very nice and even let us check in early. While the rooms are outdated at best, the outdoor areas are pretty and flower-filled with chairs and picnic tables and an artesian spring. There's a small but nice beach area with toys. The lake is very shallow for a long way out so it's good for kids to have fun wading. We could walk to a few restaurants and a produce market, and if we had stayed longer we could have rented a boat at the marina. If you want a modern room, look elsewhere. If you want a bit of old 60s kitsch that's clean and friendly, this is your place.

Overpriced, filthy, and outdated. Paid $210 for one night in a room with a busted lock, no working outlets in the bedroom, no A/C, broken toilet, stained furniture and carpet with burn holes, etc. Between the discomfort of the mattress and the fear of bed bugs, sleeping in their beds is not happening.

Really liked the location right near the water and that the room had a refrigerator and microwave. There is no air conditioning, but that is not uncommon or unexpected in an older motel. The things that need to be worked on are the maintenance and the customer service. There were electrical, plumbing and even furniture issues. When we arrived to check in, during their listed check-in hours, the office was locked and no answer. We waited for more than 15 minutes, then remembered that another review said that they had to go across the street to get someone to check them in when they had arrived, so we did the same. To the owners... These comments aren't to cut you down, but only to help you realize that these are things you really need to improve. Reading the other reviews tells us that you're clearly losing customers due to easily remediable issues. I would definitely recommend staying there if the owners attend to the maintenance and customer service more efficiently. They do a beautiful job at Landscaping, and we would go back, but some guests would be disappointed until a few things are fixed.

Over Their Heads
It appears all their energy is going to maintain the grounds. The rooms are a disaster! Ancient furniture, lamps & rug. Things hanging off lamps with no repairs attempted. Often no one on site to address concerns. Seaweed & dead fish on beach. Screens broken out of doors, & of course, no A/C. Would never stsy there again!

Had booked the room 2 houres prior and then a family issue happened and was not able to stay. I physically stood in front of the front desk person and explained and aldo to tge hotel manager that we were not abke to stay. I was charged for the night and also for a cancellation fee total of $382.00. When I explained this to Expedia they contacted the manager and he said that we never showed up. Would not recommend stsying here! Also trying to get my money back has been a pain in the rear.

Beach was nice, but too shallow too far out. Rooms were outdated, but decent enough. NO AIR CONDITIONING! I had gotten 2 rooms for 2 nights and we were miserable! One room had a microwave and fridge, but the other room only had a microwave. House keeping came into one of the rooms and we hadn't even checked out yet...threw away food we were still eating. I don't feel I got my money's worth out of this stay. I will not recommend this motel to anyone and will not be staying there again.
