Lovely place to stay in Utrecht, close to many places within 5-15minute walking distance. Our room has a nice view of Stadsklooster Utrecht

Two Nights in Utrecht
Very nice hotel that has a modern feel but still retains its traditional charm. My room was very comfortable - my only slight criticism is that there were no USB sockets, which is the norm in most hotels now. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. I would stay here again.

Lovely property, the room was drafty and the hesting difficult to manage (no instructions). Don't expect beams and character in room - ours a junior suite at the front of the hotel - was modern and functional. It was a good size. We stayed 3 nights and had to request room service to change used tea/coffee mugs, refresh tea and coffee, clean bathroom - wasnt expecting linen or towel change but would expect these other services.

The surroundings for The Anthony hotel are not that quiet. A zooming noise during the night was very unpleasant, also people smashing loud with doors during midnight. Further on, the room (12m2) for one person is really small but has everything inside it. The breakfast wasn't that handy with all the stuff on different spots in another room. The last thing: 147,52 for one night with breakfast including toerist tax and handling fee for Expedia is really expensive

Cannot complain about the hotel / staff and an outstanding breakfast. it was quiet, clean and close to the city central area and unique been a converted convent. The rooms are really lacking a few features: Nowhere to use a laptop, the table was so small, nowhere to dry cloths, really small cups, but provided a coffee pod machine, cables to TV were so ugly just hanging out of the wall. The comfortable bed was placed far to close to the curtains making it hard get in and out of. It would not take much to lift the rooms.

Staff predisposed to attending to men over women
Had a terrible experience in the bar watching staff serve all the men around us, who arrived after we did, while ignoring us. I've never been so mad about treatment I received at a restaurant or bar anywhere. All women servers who were only interested in serving men.

Upscale hotel and an enjoyable stay
Wonderful building and a very classy experience. The staff were good. There was open-air lock up for our bikes which isn't ideal but at least they were round the back. Lovely room though no USB outlets. Breakfast was great and we were looking forward to dinner but the quail was undercooked and my dish wasn't hot enough. The waitress was very apologetic and tried to make it up to us. Apparently they were still trying to find a long-term chef. The rest of the meal was good. The hotel isn't absolutely in the center of Utrecht but that wasn't too much of a problem. We were able to walk in even though I have mobility problems. (I had no problems in the hotel itself.)

4/10 Fair

We were disappointed by our stay at The Antony Hotel. The Anthony sells itself as a 4 star hotel and prices itself as such. We, therefore, had pretty high expectations for our stay. However, it currently can’t seem to get some of the basics right. Air con in some of the rooms doesn’t work properly (you can get it on for short bursts before an error message appears on the screen and it turns off). When we informed reception, we were simply told that this was known issue and were given a fan instead which is obviously not the same. The fridge in our room also didn’t work (light came on but it was hotter inside than out so obviously couldn’t keep anything cool). Despite mentioning this to reception on two separate occasions and asking for it to be fixed/ replaced no action was taken (at which point we gave up!). The hotel also provided a baby bed which was fine for our toddler but you wouldn’t want it for a baby as it had an ill-fitting, sloping mattress. And, finally, it’s worth noting that not all family rooms have the advertised (and pictured) separate seating area. Instead, some of them have a bed next to the seating area. On the plus side, most of the staff were very friendly, especially the breakfast staff, and the breakfast itself was great.

I really enjoyed the hotel and the courtyard. Music would be nice. The food was excellent and so was the staff. I rented a bike from the Dutch Republic and it was very reasonable. I could ride to and from the hotel and that was great. Umbrellas would be nice to have available to borrow.

We didn't like that we have to change the room once, the tv didn't work, we didn't have the refrigerator in the room and at 8 in the morning the maintenance guy was hammering in front of our room...i will never come back in thos hotel!

Definitely a cute boutique hotel. However, the single rooms are extremely small. If you’re not good with tight spaces, this might not be for you. It was fine for me, since I didn’t have much to travel with!

Good!
Nice stay, had a room in the basement so the ground floor windows was a little odd, but all the same, the solo rooms are bigger than they look on the photos and the courtyard is a really nice place to hang out and have a drink. Comfy bed, shower, and I got a drink coupon for my birthday which was nice :)

The staff were very good, competent and efficient. We enjoyed the area - a bit off the usual tourist route, lots of green space, canals and interesting restaurants. The apartment was good, but surprisingly there was only one toilet, in spite of the very large room that had shower and sinks. The restaurant was very good as well.

We had a great stay at the Anthony. Check in was seamless even though we arrived late into the night. Great courtyard and inner terrace for breakfast/drinks. They had a really fun set up for the Eurocup games. Really nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Everything was super clean and it’s a very unique building. Room was spacious and very comfortable for 3 people. Room had a really good coffee maker as well and kettle. Some great dining options (Turkish/Middle Eastern food) on the same road as the hotel.
