Suggest better management and staff training
When I went to the Elevator to go from 2nd floor to lobby, the Elevator button did not work. Tried several times then decided to just take the nearest stairs, which was stair A. Stair A exits to the outside of hotel near pool and patio areas. When I got back inside the hotel, there was an 'Out of Order' sign on the first floor elevator door. Why did staff not put up 'Out of Order' sign on elevator door of all floors?
I tried to return to my 2nd floor room using stair A; however, no one can enter from the outside using stair A.
I returned to the front desk to find out how to get back to my room. We had to get management to come to the front desk to provide assistance on how I can return to my room. I was guided to stair B which is the stairs that is completely inside the hotel.
So, here are some thoughts about management at this location:
1) It was apparent that new employees do not get adequate training. Desk clerk had to get management out of his office to assist on where/how do I get back to my room. Also, management was needed to show staff how to print invoice after I had been 'checked out'.
2) Management failed to adequately post signs that the elevator was 'out of order' and directions to stair B (only stairs to use for going to and from rooms) on all floors.
