A great week at the beach

Well three days before my arrival the hotel advised that they were going to be remodeling the hotel and that this would be going on 7 days a week so my expectations were low. I have stayed here before and the old girl is starting to show her age so a facelift was long overdue. I wish I would have received more than three days notice but it would not have made a difference anyway. They asked me if I wanted an upgrade online and after requesting one they advised me that it wasnt available. The room is just exactly what was advertised online although it could have had a small table in order to be able to eat or just have my laptop. When I took the top off the ice bucket it had garbage in it, which again was surprising but not enough to ruin the experience. Overall for the money I feel that I got good value not only for the room but for the convenience of being right in the middle of Seaside which gave me the ability to walk to most of the things which I needed to do vs having to constantly drive. Once the renovation is complete I probably wont be able to afford this hotel in the future so I will enjoy going there as much as I can before this renovation is finished.

The bed was comfortable. I asked for extra blankets, and they were delivered promptly. The partial view was better than expected. The cleaning staff were very friendly. The walls are thin, so we could hear our neighbors talking, and I’m not sure if the people in the room above us had a dog, but there was running happening in the room above us throughout the day, luckily we didn’t hear it at night. Also, the door connecting the room adjacent to our room was not sealed tightly, so we could see the light from the neighboring room through the door frame. This is something that needs fixed! We enjoyed our stay, and slept well, but we are easy to please people!

Nice area, but your rooms, the walls are to thin and the floor need more padding between rooms. You can hear every footstep people upstairs above our room would take. The neighbor beside us, you can hear their conversation very clearly as if they were in the same room. If these problems would be fixed, your place would be an excellent stay. Thank you

Will not stay again!

Main doors would stick and not open. Very run down property. Peeling wallpaper and paint in room. Broken tiles on bathroom floor cut my daughter’s toe. Could not use our balcony most of the time due to weed smoke coming in our room from other rooms,I have an 8 yr old and 2 month old! Pool is disgusting!!!!

Not bad but room for improvements

We had an oceanfront room which was spacious and had a great view. The kitchen was nice, though missing some essential items.There were no baking pans, however when I inquired about it the front desk was able to find something only for me to realize that are no oven mitts.The stove was a hard to use because there are no decals on any of the knobs so it was a guessing game to use it.I do feel that there could be some more items added to the kitchen for basic cooking: mixing bowl, colander, measuing cups/spoons, scissors, to name a few. Unlucky for us, we ended up with some neighbors one night that had VERY loud s$x for over an hour.I advised the front desk as I had 2 young girls that were a bit uncomfortable. The staff did say that the guests were called but didn't answer and that was all that was done.This is not the hotels fault but I did think someone on staff would go up to the room with a noise complaint but I was advised it was reported to mangement. The most challenging part of our stay was housekeeping.We were at the hotel for 4 nights and not once did we get a room refresh.We ran out of TP in the middle of the night and I had to steal the tp off a maids cart.Ha to request towels twice, as well as new sheets.The sheets were left in our room and we had to make the bed.Garbage was full, and we had a pile of towels and sheets that were never picked up. I asked the front desk for service on day 3 and still no service. As a mom on vacation, that was a big deal to me.

Budget friendly oceanfront property

Overall it was a fun great trip. The hotel rooms clearly look very old and outdated but they were comfortable and the kitchen area was wonderful. We also loved the balcony. On the day we were checking out when we tried to shower the water was ice cold. When we asked they told us they had a Plummer there working which was fine however no one contacted us to warn us. They have a texting system and had text us previously twice checking in but couldn’t send a memo which was frustrating. The pool water was also extremely cloudy, you couldn’t even see the bottom of the pool which wasn’t the best. But overall it was a great experience just a few minor things.
