Handicap King Room w/Balcony
We checked in earlier than expected and were provided with a King Room with a balcony. Although the room was nicely cleaned, the balcony faced the back of the hotel sign, so we requested a different room with a better view. The staff moved us to a King Room with a balcony, partial ocean view, and disability accommodations. However, my husband, who is 6'5", found the bathroom facilities unsuitable—the toilet was too low for both of us, and the bathtub had grab bars. Additionally, the room was smaller than the one we had initially reserved.
We requested a non-disability room, and the staff assured us they could accommodate the change. Unfortunately, the third room we were moved to was identical to the second—it also had disability features, including a low toilet, grab bars, a small bedroom space, and a low tub. This was highly disappointing.
During our stay, the Bar/Starbucks area only had one employee working, resulting in significant delays due to the high number of guests compared to the limited staff.
On a positive note, the front desk attendant who initially checked us in provided excellent service. He gave us a tour of the hotel’s first floor, informed us about ongoing renovations, beach chair rentals, and local seafood restaurants. His upbeat personality and extensive knowledge greatly enhanced our experience. The fitness room was clean and the machines were in good and working condition.
But we will not be returning to this location.
