Lovely inn, very friendly and accommodating staff. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. Ensuite was a little too cosy for our liking, but that was due to it being in the roof and limited space. Cooked breakfast was delicious. Would have been enhanced with a little fresh fruit available.

Unexpectedly great stay!
For the price I wasn’t expecting too much. But really nice atmosphere walking into the pub. Barman new my name to expect me, took an order for breakfast in the morning (which was great!) and the room was massive and comfy. Didn’t cost me to park either - would definitely stay again and hopefully get a beer too next time!

This was a great find. Lovely inn, warm welcome and a super comfy bed. Great amenities- WiFi, TV, desk, clean bathroom and nice linens. It was also quiet and restful at night.
Evening meal and breakfast were both delicious ( and I’m a bit of a foodie) and service with a genuine smile. Thank you, I’ll be back.

From the moment we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. The room we had was spacious and bright. There was a lovely bathroom ensuite. We ate in the evening and had breakfast in the morning and both meals were delicious and of a very high standard - we would definitely stay here again

Great stay for a fair price
Decor in excellent condition. Large room with a walk-in dressing area and extra wash basin, all clean and tidy. Plentiful food in pleasant bar area. Bus stop 400 yards away on main road. Parking 100 yards away in village centre. It would have been nice to have some fruit at breakfast, and the dinner was tasty but unexceptional. We would definitely stay again.

GREAT STAY - SO CLEAN
My 3 hour journey took 8 hours, which made my arrival very late. I phoned on four occasions and was greeted with warmth and friendliness and told not to worry. Tracy was brilliant, she poured me a drink on arrival and offered me snacks. She then personally took me to my room and showed me around. She pre-ordered my breakfast ready for my early start. The place was spotless, the breakfast was amazing, the shower was warm and powerful - brilliant visit and I will definitely return.

An excellent comfortable stay
We stayed for one night on our way to the ferry in Plymouth. Our room was very comfortable. Communication after booking was excellent. The inn has a good menu served in the bar. Excellent value. All our food including breakfast was well cooked and tasty. I would return without hesitation. Highly recommended

Super für die Durchreise
Die Zimmer sind neu hergerichtet, hell und schön. Das Haus ist sehr verwinkelt. Mit dem Parken muss man sehen, wo man bleibt. Es ist halt kein Hotel mit Lobby usw. sondern ein Pub mit Übernachtungsmöglichkeit. Frühstück ist gut aber auf eine Stunde begrenzt. Abendessen gibt es immerhin zwei Stunden. Eine Ansprechperson für Fragen hat man nicht wirklich.

We absolutely loved our stay! The pub was full of locals, guiness on tap, great atmosphere! We had an evening meal and full English breakfast, food was 5****. Really good quality meat! Bed was comfy, room was clean, tea and coffee in the room. Will definitely stay again! Thank you!!
