Brilliant start to the New Year
We had the most comfortable, relaxed and lovely 2 night stay. The staff were friendly, responsive and just really nice people. The bed was SOOO comfortable and had very decent pillows. The food was delicious and they catered for my coeliac disease with no problem or difficulty. The location is brilliant being close to fantastic walks and interesting Norfolk towns and villages. I'm pretty sure we'll be back before too long. We came home refreshed and feeling very good. Thank you to all the brilliant staff.

Problems but sorted
Unfortunately The Dormy House had plumbing issues so they rang us in the morning while we were driving up to Norfolk and offered to find another hotel booking for us, which they did and we stayed at the Clifftonville Hotel in Cromer. I noticed the room rate was cheaper but we had a good room, although with twin beds, and an excellent breakfast.

Lovely staff, nice breakfast. The carvery looked superb Al be it we didn’t get a chance to try it.
Room was nice a little dated but nice enough.
Most importantly clean.
We were woken by cleaners very early on Sunday morning opening cupboards in the corridor which was annoying.
They should Maybe leave the cleaning until a bit later on a Sunday.
A nice walk to the Sea.
A very long walk into Cromer if you fancy it or a short drive.
Overall good value for the money we paid.

The room we had was good bathroom was dated with shower over bath piped to the taps not good for temp control the room was noisy and because windows were over the pebbled entrance it was noisy most of the day made worse as we had to have the windows open because of the heat but did have a partial view of the sea

Generally speaking the hotel was nice. Our room, number 2, was on the small side and not wheelchair accessible and was lacking in space for clothes if staying for more than one or two nights. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

General comfort was good, nice hallways and bar area. Barman was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was ok, but everything was said to be gluten free on the menu but when we ordered there was no gluten free bread of any type and the sauce for the hollaindaise and the sausages were not GF. My wife ordered a half full English that arrived without toast and sausage without being told.
