Good:
-Food is great, good quantity and quality. Especially the seafood!
-Location is great, in the center of the shopping area. Especially beautiful at night and early morning.
Could be better:
-The room smelled a bit like restroom - but seemed to come from the AC unit? Maybe it needs to be cleaned.
-A no smoking sign outside the bath/shower area - in the morning it smelled like smoke, even after closing the window.

Beautiful historical Japanese inn. Great service and delicious food!
We had a wonderful stay here. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating to my 2 year old. House slippers and comfortable yukatas were provided. We were served an amazing evening meal in our room. Followed by the staff setting up our futon mattress beds for us--the surface is intended to be firm sleeping on the ground so not the best night sleep I've ever had, but they were fairly comfortable. Traditional breakfast was served in the morning in a common room. Overall a very fun experience.

Antique hotel along the Kurashiki river
The hotel is right located into the heart of Kurashiki and itself is a historical building. This hotel forms also a part of the view of Kurashiki particular at nigh after light is on.

Staffs are very friendly, and food was very good. I had to leave early because of my flight schedule. They offered us one early breakfast. We still remember the staff weaving his hands until we were out of his sight.

Great traditional Japan experience
Had a fantastic time at this Ryokan. It's in a beautiful historic location, and the Ryokan itself was a wonderful experience - the traditional meal served in the room was a highlight, amazing food. Highly recommended.
Most memorable was the dinner multicourse traditional meal giving us the opportunity to try new dishes. Served beautifully in our room.
