Our go to affordable TC family vacay hotel
Another great stay at the Bayshore. It's our go to for family trips to Traverse City, this one with my daughters high school hockey team in winter. Indoor heated pool, clean filling breakfast (nothing fancy, your basic Hampton inn style hot continental, but it's always clean and refreshed). 2 queen bed rooms are big enough for family of 4 as long as two kids can share a bed. Common areas are well maintained. Right on the beach on the west bay, about 5-10 min walk and you're in heart of downtown TC. Fast food and air down restaurants within walking distance or can ask for hotel shuttle to drop you in downtown TC.

Customer service at check in and check out was terrible. It was New Years Eve and you could tell she didn’t want to be there. When we saw her again at checkout the next day, nothing changed. No smile, no warmth. Other than that stay was nice, clean, and comfortable. The hotel had a free shuttle to downtown for NYE and they were very accommodating.

Very impressed
This hotel was great. We booked it because of the price but were highly impressed by what it had to offer. While we didnt end up using the pool during our 1 night stay, it looked very nice and plenty of others seemed to enjoy it. The hallways and room were clean. The breakfast in the morning was very good with lots of options. If i had to have a complaint, I'd say that the rooms werent very soundproof. We could almost make out full conversations from the couple next door. We did have a room with an adjoining door so I'm not sure if a room without one would have had better insulation to muffle or not.

The hotel has great amenities, including an indoor pool, hot tub and shuttle bus to take you downtown. Beds were a little hard, but otherwise room was very comfortable with a fridge and nice bedding. Unfortunately there was a large number of families with children that seemed to be together (travel sports?) and did not have any respect for other travelers. They were loud, running through hallways, the pool and the conference room making it hard to get sleep. Not the fault of the hotel but I wish they had an enforced quiet hour.
