Cute and cosy
Loved the service. Loved the room. Would have liked espresso coffee (instead of just instant) as a breakfast option. And xxxl size slippers.

Dangerous building
The building is not good. The setting of the room is not up to the standard of a motel. The tv set blocked part of the door of the bathroom. The wall, the window has stains. The shower did not have it own pipeline. The extension cord is dangerous as there is no electrical outlet for your phones.

Rustic Charm
I arrived at night. The minor road leading to the hotel was dark and google maps gave an unnecessarily roundabout route. In the daylight I found the environs to be pleasantly rustic and quaint. The front desk staff was so kind and warm despite my limited Japanese ability and his limited English. It was the middle of winter, the whole hotel was warm, clean and cozy. There were several tea points located throughout the hotel; they were abundantly stocked with good quality supplies.
My twin room spacious, well-lit, and cozy.

The place is a 10 minute walk from Karuizawa Station which is a little bit far if there is fresh snow on the streets, but otherwise okay. Our room had a heater, however it was too powerful so we had to turn it off periodically - we could not adjust it to be weaker. This meant that we turned off the heater when we went to sleep at night, which meant that it got extremely cold.

Nice hotel close to train station and old karuizaw
The hotel stuff are very nice. The bike rental only 500 yen a day. The only complain is the noise from the bathroom in my room, kind like the water draining into pipe, never heard this type noise from other hotel, i am ok with the noise during the daytime, but it happened while i was sleeping. other than that very thing is good. a nice hotel for the price.

Cozy stay, friendly staff, living like a local!
The room is small but enough for three people. Bed was comfortable enough and everything seems to be a little bit old vintage style, we actually kinda like it!
I don't mind the public bathroom, it's a bit clunky but fun experience!

Hotel a little run-down with basic rooms, no en-suite bathroom. Sharing bathroom and toilets ok if hotel is not busy. Language can be a problem as staff do not speak much English. Hotel site is off main road so not that easy to find.

Stayed 2 nights. Nice staff, nice dinner and traditional Japanese breakfast. Staff are so sweet to give me a leave to the outlet mall on the rainy day. And drove me to the station on my departure. Though they cannot speak very much English, still help me and introduce places for me to walk around.
