I want to start by saying that all members of staff we encountered were absolutely lovely and helpful. We arrived to check in for our 3 night stay shorlty after 5 pm. We were told the room wasn't ready and that it would be 10 more mins. We

Basic room, but excellent value. Pleasant service. Plenty of restaurants and bars within 10 minute walk. Handy for Op Dynamo museum.

2/10 Poor

The most depressing hotel I’ve ever stayed in! The room although big was as welcoming as a prison cell. No TV or pictures on the wall which were bland and dull as was the floor. A big shower and toilet room but 1 piece of soap 2” square and 1 sachet of shower gel. A 6€ breakfast didn’t include cheese or ham, just bread and jam, cereal and fruit and croissants. The hotel seems like it’s in a “Ghost Town”. Nothing around and quiet and dead. A TV in the lobby but not suitably located for guests to see. The place reminded me of a hospital, school or prison and getting breakfast there lining up was in keeping. The beach was about 200 metres away and some restaurants about a 10 minute walk away over a bridge. Check in at 5pm and out by 10am seemed strange but I’m pleased it was! Less time to spend there! I certainly won’t be returning there or recommending the place. It was just dull and boring and staff were conspicuous by their absence! No warmth or good feeling to the place. Sterile and clinical appear to be good words to sum it up. The room had a bed in the corner a wooden platform acting as a desk with a chair. The place is lifeless. A large car park though which was good. That’s about it!

Shower had been broken and you couldn’t put the shower head in any holder as this was missing and chair in bathroom was also broken and dangerous to try and use

Incredibly noisy, otherwise decent hostel
Most things were as expected - low budget accommodation, good quality for price. What was unacceptable is the high noise by a group of kids. Late at night and early in the morning they were slamming doors, running around, yelling and banging at doors. The hostel should make the adults responsible for these kids aware that this is unacceptable for other guests. Due to, we barely got any shuteye which ruined an otherwise pleasant and very well located place.

This hostel is in a great location in-between the huge lovely beach and the old town. It has parking, which is a great bonus. The staff were really helpful and friendly. My only criticism was that the rooms were a bit tired. The bathroom could do with a paint job and better cleaning. Breakfast was a simple but lovely, with fresh pastries and excellent value. We liked the pool table and football. Overall, great value and we may stay again if in the area.
