The hotel itself is very pretty, clean, and modern. The grounds are very well kept. 2 things specifically resulted in me not giving a 5 star rating. After check in, I was told to go to the concierge desk. I was unsure why I “had” to go there, but I did. I was asked by a lady named Dalal “how many people on this reservation?” and I replied “just me”. She responded rather loudly, and judgmentally “you didn’t bring your wife with you?”. People who were standing nearby, including the other concierge ladies, turned to look at me. I responded “I’m not married, and I don’t know why that even matters.” On top of that, I’m a gay male. I just found her questioning to be very tasteless, rather intrusive, and unnecessary/irrelevant… all of that just to give me a handful of brochures and a coupon book. She then tried to sign me up for a presentation across the street. I told her I wasn’t interested at the moment. She was snarky and said “well it’s not right now”and I said “if I change my mind I’ll let you know” The other reason for this rating is because their checkout is 10am, when most hotels have 11am checkout. Upon asking if I can check out at 11, they said it would be an extra fee, which I feel is exorbitant
