Unresponsive - disappointed with service

We enjoyed our stay at the hotel and found the accommodations and check in easy. However, I am really disappointed with the unresponsiveness of the hotel to get back to me about an issue that happened during the stay. We purchased food by calling the front desk and went downstairs to pay for our food with my personal credit card. Shortly after we were called by the front desk and told we would need to come down to get a refund since the kitchen staff all walked out. We came down and they said they couldn’t do the refund and they would get back to me regarding it. If the bill wasn’t $63.49 it wouldn’t be as big of a deal, but I have spoken with 4 people at this point with no help. I am disappointed that I am going to have to work with my credit card company to fight the charge on my account. This has been an unnecessary hassle and very frustrating. The hotel itself is decent and there is a nice workout room, but this situation has really tainted my opinion on the hotel.

Comfortable stay, great location, impressive gym

Amazing location and wonderful old building. It used to be the Minneapolis Athletic Club, so make sure to check out the fitness room! Bed was comfortable and had ample charging ports. Ideally located within downtown, close to light rail and key bus stops. Walking distance from convention center, Guthrie theater, and multiple sports venues.

Hotel review

It was a super good stay I loved the hotel room it was super nice but the fee for buying a water is crazy $7 for a life water. And they said they were doing a $150 hold but took the money and never gave it back which the front desk person said it was just a hold and would be returned. I emailed them and nothing they never explained why I wasn’t going to get that money back so that’s why I wouldn’t stay here again

Perfect hotel for a weekend away

The room was gorgeous and the gym incredible! It made us feel so fancy, even though we didn't pay a ton. I loved the bathtub, separate shower, and the decor. Though we didn't get to use it much, the gym was amazing. The hotel seemed very clean. With the skywalk, it was the perfect location for an event downtown.

Pros and cons

Hotel is nice and neat and our room was great. Overall, we’re very happy with our room but service could’ve been way better. The young men at the front desk aren’t friendly. They just appear as they don’t want to be working and aren’t enthusiastic about anything- very monotone and short. Kitchen closes earlier on Saturday night. We called down around 11:30pm and they said they “closed early” even though their kitchen hours say they are open until 12:30 on weekends. That was annoying but whatever. I probably wouldn’t stay here again just because there are plenty of other hotels in downtown that are just as nice and cost about the same with much more friendly staff and better customer service.

Beyond great value and no negatives.

I was very impressed with everything. Room was ready at 4pm when I arrived, everything in the room was beyond expectations. Friendly staff and best value I could find in the area downtown. Appreciated their standard Noon checkout vs earlier ones I have come across. Would stay there again.
