Great spot for Dog Owners - 3rd visit
This was our 3rd stay in two year & each time it’s great. We have a 75 lb Weimaraner who needs walks and social activity, this place has been great for us. Plenty of space for everyone but also lots of dog socialization given all the dogs on site. The front desk gives him treats every morning, lots of walking sidewalks, fire pits all over, a small dog park, great bar & restaurant on site & 5-7 mins away from the slopes. We have rented the new cabins & 2 bedroom chalets & have enjoyed both. Look forward to future stays.

Good option for Mammoth
Mixed feelings. It’s like a boutique hotel but it’s HUGE. I felt like I was walking down hallways forever. The hot tub and pool are really nice but so far from the room. The lobby is very beautiful with a massive fireplace and nice decor but when I was there, there were twenty somethings sleeping in the lobby fully sprawled out on the couches. The restaurant seems like it needs to work out some kinks. They were out of a lot of things and the staff seemed stressed. Overall it’s a good value and I would stay here again.

6/10 Good

An old hotel, the former Sierra Nevada Lodge, has been updated quite a bit. Everything works. I object to the resort fee, but just be expecting an extra $25/day when comparing prices. Our stay came to well over $300 per night all in for a quite ordinary room. The lobby lounge is very nice, and they did have a working steam room and sauna.

Excellent value!
We stayed for a weekend skiing. Parking was easy and the room was adequate. Next time we will stay in a cabin type room with more of a kitchen. The grounds were well maintained. Very pet friendly resort. We loved the fire pits, hanging out near the lobby fireplace for wine, games and live music. Sauna and steam room hit the spot after a day of skiing.

Good enough for a stay but a bit pricey
The hotel staff was very friendly and welcoming. The state of the hotel was not very nice. The bathroom tile was very dark and you couldn’t tell if it was clean or not. The air conditioning was extremely loud which made it hard to sleep next to the AC unit, the Internet was very slow and spotty, so it didn’t work all the time. The amenities around the hotel was nice and there was things to do for various family members. We did not use them, but they were available.

Heater didn't work properly
First of all, the heater went all the way without stopping, no matter what temperature we set it at, so of course it got way too hot. We had no choice but to turn it off before going to sleep, but of course with the temperature being in the 10-20s outside, it got too cold during the night. Very uncomfortable. Secondly, the lady at check in was very friendly and all, but with the short conversation she gave us three pieces of wrong information-- 1. Room service is upon request (in reality, we did NOT want room service, but housekeeping came in anyway... isn't it 'upon request'?! If she hadn't say so, we would've put out the Do Not Disturb sign) 2. Hotel bar (Bar Sierra) has happy hour from 4-6pm (in reality, there's no more happy hour at Bar Sierra, but we went there thinking there was) 3. There's coffee in the lobby 24/7 (in reality, nope, there was no coffee when we tried to get a cup). So yeah, not a very satisfying stay overall.

Centrally located to shops and bus lines
My family and I enjoyed our stay at outbound. We had two kids with us, ages 9 and 7, who enjoyed the arcade every evening. Restaurants and Vons are walking distance. The bus line to eagle is easily accessible, right across the street. We stayed in a two bedroom villa with a small kitchenette. Perfect for our quick trip to Mammoth.
