The refrigerator had someone else’s food and Drinks left in it; the chairs by the desk in the sitting room were very old, with torn edges on them. There was a very slight ring in the toilet. This hotel was beautiful, but it could definitely use some updating

So comfortable and clean!

We stayed at this lovely hotel while our daughter attended her first prom. (We drove from out of town). Upon arrival, we were treated with the utmost professionalism and care, and continued through our entire stay. If you’re in the area and looking for a budget friendly, great place to stay….10/10 highly recommend!

The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was spacious, clean, and the beds were quite comfortable. The breakfast was far superior to any complimentary hotel breakfast I’ve ever had. They even had a made-to-order omelette station. The staff at the breakfast buffet were accommodating and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Beyond amazing and worth every penny

We flew in for a family emergency where a loved one was suddenly in ICU at Scripps. The Embassy gave us a beautiful, comfortable, peaceful place of reprieve after long days at the hospital. The staff was incredible, absolutely accommodating as our needs evolved during the week. The breakfast was wonderful and convenient. The two free drinks in the evening were exactly what we needed to chill a little bit, and the food from the restaurant was delicious. Different members of our family will be flying in and out of San Diego for a long time while our loved one recovers, and we are telling everyone to go to the Embassy.

Lack of Cleanliness

The common areas of the hotel and the rooms included, were very dirty. There was hair in the bathtub, globs of hair in the hotel room, a sock, bandaid and dental floss left on the hallway floor for days. The hotel parking garage’s arm would not work with the room key and each guest was calling the front desk to get in and out. The only good level of service came from the front desk and the restaurant. I would advise others to not stay in the Embassy Suites in La Jolla.
