Dejligt sted og sÞdt vÊrtspar. Begge englÊndere, det var nemt at kommunikere. Smukt sted pÄ landet. Man vÊre forberedt pÄ at skulle kÞre til St. Mere Eglise for at spise. Savnede kÞleskab pÄ vÊrelset. Et perfekt sted for afslapning og hygge. KÞreafstand til D-dags monumenter mm. Kommer gerne igen til stedet.
Alyson and Dave are incredible hosts! When you book, add the dinner reservations you wonât regret it. Dave is a gourmet chef, his oyster appetizer is out of this world! Iâve recommended this place to my friends and encourage you to try it.
What a charming bed and breakfast! This place was a museum in itself, over 300 years old with modern amenities. David and Alyson, the owners, were the perfect hosts. A delicious full breakfast was served every morning by Chef David and lovely Alyson. The rooms were given great detail to decor and very comfortable. We wanted for nothing. A memorable stay!
Dave & Allison fabulous hosts, a charming environment, with great history preserved. Highly recommend dinner each night for an incredible 5 course meal by an award winning Chef, aka Dave! While the farm only a mile from St Mire Eglise, not great restaurants and dining at the farm đ.
We were here over New Year. While the accomodation is very pleasant, we were very disappointed that we were only offered a late night dinner, very heavy dinner but both my wife and I dont like to eat very late, as we are a vegetarian and diabetic. There was no restautant or shop open on New Years day, so went without any food for the entire day. The key is that no effort what-so-ever was made to accomodate us other than offer us a fixed 4 course meal late at night.
We really enjoyed our stay! The grounds were lovely and interesting, the room clean and spacious, and the whole feel was just right for our Normandy visit - nostalgic and relaxing! Our hosts could not have been more welcoming. We spent two weeks traveling in France and the one dinner we had at the farm was quite possibly the most delicious. This place is a gem.
Everything we expected from a stay near D-Day landing sites and battles⊠and more. The hosts were top flight and - a hint - the dinner they made (extra, but very reasonable) is one of the best meals we have had in a long time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
The Old Farm was a wonderful property and the owners are fantastic. They were welcoming and friendly and have clearly done an amazing job creating a very comfortable place for guests.
Our room was spacious and very charmingly decorated, with a large bathroom, all done in an old French farm style (at least as far as we know!). The inner courtyard is a wonderful place to relax with coffee in the morning or with a drink after a day of being out. The breakfast options were excellent and plentiful.
We would certainly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing, friendly place to visit.
Fabulous.....everything was simply perfect from the location, accommodation, breakfast, hosting to the amazing evening meals. Would absolutely stay here agai
Fantastic place to stay if you are wanting to visit D-Day sights & even better if youâd like to get locals perspective. Vacation time is precious-so being able have candid chats with knowledgeable hosts: should we do this or this?? David & Allison will not lead you wrong. Additionally, highly recommend eating at least 1 dinner at the Inn. We grabbed a bottle of wine at a local shop during the day & knew we could enjoy it just a few steps from our room. Email ahead of time & learn the dinner menus ahead of time!
We will be back because the hospitality was genuine & right on pointe!
