Very bad for the cost. Expected more.

The place was very badly kept. Expected more for the cost. The tv was a computer monitor of 20in with no working channels. The bathroom was dirty and noisy. The rooms were very smelly.

Found By Chance But Meant To Be

Put together a Peru trip on short notice to be with a hospitalized friend in Lima. Found this hotel basically by throwing darts at a board but more or less selected by proximity to hospital. This property in the San Isidro district delivered on everything we needed in lodging. Safe, inviting neighborhood with access to necessities within walking distance. Everyone from the owner on down the staff were inviting, friendly and courteous. My wife and I are seasoned travelers so are able to recognize value for dollar and Basadre Hotel met that criteria. San Isidro and Miraflores districts are going to reflect a bit higher room rates on travel websites but trust it is worth the difference for the safety and comfort. We very much enjoyed our stay and were glad we chose a smaller boutique hotel over the hustle and bustle of the big chain properties.

Very regular hotel.

Very regular hotel. The facilities are very old, the breakfast is not varied. not good. They Demanded the payment of 20 Soles more for washing a towel that had some makeup. Although the staff are very kind the hotel is no good.

Good locale close to the action but not too close!

Basadre Suites is a charming property with larger rooms (at least mine was) by South American size standards. Room and bed were comfortable. The room was a bit older but charming and met my needs at a good price. The breakfast buffet is included and tasty. I had dinner at the restaurant one night, and it was excellent and not too pricey. The hotel staff were really helpful and many spoke more than Spanish. I definitely would stay here again. You can walk to Miraflores and to some pyramids.

Nice, safe area, nice lobby, but very hard beds, flat pillows, a room smelled like mildew, and it was dangerous to get in/out of shower because of the fixed glass and extreme height of the tub (half way up my thigh, and I am 5'5" tall). Even my 6' tall husband complained of the height.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel had a lovely little garden and pool to enjoy. I also heard that the light breakfast was tasty however I missed it by sleeping in.

Outstanding location, nice staff.

Nice hotel, in a prime location in Lima. With easy access to gyms, churches, business centres in the area... by walking distance. Very gentle hotel staff. Loved the breakfast and the laundry service. I didn't like how restrictive they were on the phone service and the humidity in the rooms. I understand Lima is like that, but there's got to be de-humidifiers on every room to keep them dry.

Run down, terrible wifi

I stayed for a couple of days for a business trip. The wifi left a lot to be desired, there are apparently five routers set up around the house but the only place to consistently get wifi was in the reception area. The staff were courteous but the hotel is run down and without wifi useless for working out of. Oh and they don't have a backup generator so when the San Isidro power grid went down--we were stuck in the dark in almost 90 degree heat with no ac and a tiny window.

The best thing is the pool and the free breakfast!

Unfortunately, I could not book another place (similarly priced) I stayed at twice before and this looked just as nice on the pictures. Not so in real life. This place was like a regular American motel compared to the other place that was airy and clean and nice. The room was pretty small and the bathroom was not the cleanest. You could not change from shower to faucet, because the knob was broken. A/C was very good and the garden is OK. The pool is fantastic and the breakfast with fresh fruits is very good. Wifi is only working in the lobby, but at least the seating area there is nice.

Nice friendly hotel

We stayed four nights while visiting Lima and found the hotel well situated for getting around and seeing the sites. The breakfast was plentiful and set us up for the day. We ate once at the hotel when we were too tired to go out to one of the plentiful restraunts close by, the food was good if not gourmets.So I'd be happy to recommend this hotel for a short stay in Lima.
