Los restaurantes tienen muy buen nivel gastronómico y las vistas a el mar Pacífico son preciosas. El personal super amable. Sin embargo el lugar y el servicio están diseñados para turistas de EU y la preferencia es para ellos. La alberca estaba confortable en general, pero dos días estuvo fría el agua. La llegada es inconveniente porque no dejan entrar Ubers, tuvimos que caminar los otros dos hoteles para llegar al Riu Palace que es el del fondo. Mismo tema para irnos.

„You‘re not our guest any more“ after checkout

Front desk provided us with contact of a driver for airport transfers and tours during our stay. This worked out well throughout. However, on check-out day, security did not let him onto the property any more to pick us up. It was all planned and we needed to catch a flight. I took the nearly 10 minute walk to the front gate where he was held. Security told me he cannot even enter with me in the car as I‘m „not our guest any more“. My wife was waiting with out little baby and all luggage in the lobby! Was told I shall carry all stuff and the baby in the straight sun down to the main gate, or book a taxi from the taxi guy staying in the lobby. No one cared it was the actual hotel front desk that provided us with a number!! Worst possible ending to a stay. Otherwise, dated but decent resort, amazing view, mediocre food, great service, yet extremely noisy rooms. Hard to judge anything but the disrespect at the end towards a family with a little baby, though.

Really love this resort. The only complaint is that they charged me for a person when I arrived when I had already paid. They said the name was not correct. I originally paid for 3 rooms and 5 people and had to cancel 1 room and 1 person. I went through Expedia. I really feel like they ripped me off. They said when we got there, I had to pay for the person(who was already coming) because Expedia didn’t inform them correctly and once Expedia contacted them they would reimburse me. Expedia did contact them but they denied it and wouldn’t reimburse. So disappointing on an otherwise great trip. Total scam I feel. Be warned! Both Expedia and Riu let me down here.

The amenities were great, as was the food. I found the size of the resort a bit overwhelming but did manage to find my way around. We did, unfortunately, have smokers either above or below our room and that was annoying. It made it difficult for us to enjoy our deck. I think the 'no smoking' rule should be enforced. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the place. Loved the swimming pool!

Our trip started very poorly, as my wife and I had $2500 pesos stolen from our room the first night! This was a very uneasy feeling, after only one evening at the resort. Staff, meals, and resort are good, but unfortunately when an event like that takes place it doesn't sit well with you

Such a beautiful property that is only 1.6 miles from downtown Cabo. Very walkable if you don’t mind walking Lots of dining options and good food. Our only suggestion: The Riu parties at the adjoining Riu, while I’m sure are a blast to people a little younger than us, were just not our night out thing. We would’ve loved to have some live entertainment, dancing whether Latin, rock or country at Riu Palace from 8- whenever. Maybe some type of show etc. We had a hard time finding in house entertainment before 10. It was hard to bridge those hours between dinner and 10pm there wasn’t a lot to do if the Riu parties weren’t your thing. Overall very relaxing, clean and beautiful. Great for couples with young children.
